LOL! If it somehow actually gets that far, the Senate will then hammer bigger nails in the whole impeachment process' coffin.
Oh I guess he didn't hear.
Democrats are still ramming ahead with their impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump over his phone call with the Ukrainian president back in July.
But what would happen if an impeachment v**e were held today in the GOP-controlled Senate?
According to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, it would fail and lead the acquittal of President Donald Trump.
“I will say I’m pretty sure how it’s likely to end,” McConnell told reporters, according to Politico.
“If it were today I don’t think there’s any question — it would not lead to a removal. So the question is how long does the Senate want to take? How long do the p**********l candidates want to be here on the floor of the Senate instead of in Iowa and New Hampshire?” McConnell added.
McConnell has been highly critical of the Democrats’ impeachment process against Trump, arguing last week that the president was being denied due process.
McConnell has said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is “in the clutches of a left-wing mob” that caused her to pursue impeachment.
McConnell said he has not discussed anything with Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to plan for a Senate trial in the event of the House passing articles of impeachment.
If Trump were to be impeached in the House, it would take 67 v**es in the Senate to remove him from office.
Republicans currently control 53 seats in the upper chamber compared to Democrats and Independents having 47.
If all 47 Democrats in the Senate v**ed to impeach the president, it would take 20 Republicans in order to remove Trump from office.
It's highly unlikely that would ever happen.
This is all related to Democrats trying to impeach Trump over his phone call that they never heard and the so-called whistleblower has been proven to be nothing more than a left-wing hack who loathes the president.
Back in August, a so-called whistleblower filing a complaint about Trump's phone call back in July with Ukrainian President Zelensky.
Soon after the complaint, Democrats immediately seized on the opportunity to go after Trump and opened an impeachment inquiry.
The whistleblower -- who we now know is Democratic operative Eric Ciaramella -- did not even hear what was said.
Democrats are so desperate to take down Trump before the 2020 e******n they are trying to remove him from office over a call that neither they nor the whistleblower even heard.
