The government has laws that protect consumers from fraud, from manufacturers making false claims about products that are not true, that haven't been proven. It is not up to a manufacturer to rely on any proof that something hasn't been proven not to be true, they are required to show proof that their claims are true.

The american public, in a role of being consumers of facts and information, have a right to be able to rely on the information media presents as facts are actually proven facts, not simply a matter of nobody knows but we are saying they are facts. That may be a bit harder to define than the information that actually catches factual rebuttal that comes up with proof that something is incorrect. At that point where the facts are there that prove something is actually incorrect, and the parties using incorrect information keep saying it, they are lying. That is willfully perpetrating a fraud on people who believe it to be true even though it is not.

The right, seeming to be aware of the fact that much of the lies they are being assaulted with are coming from the right, adamantly want to protect the media from suggestions that the media has a responsibility not to portray things we know to be lies. I do not understand how the party that is supposed to be all about values, honor, integrity, and the t***h, can't support the concept of weeding out the BS that the american people is being assaulted with. The only way to figure out what is lies and what is the t***h is to force the media to do their fact checking on what can be proved. There is nothing wrong with opinions and editorials as long as they are done with a disclaimer that makes people aware that they are opinions and not facts. Let anything being called facts be proven to be so.

Any party that continues to say something they know to be wrong is lying and committing a fraud...as Kelly Anne Conway said so clearly, they deal in alternative facts, that when enough people hear a lie repeated enough it becomes the t***h...their t***h

I think that much of the time that the MSM posts sources and documents and lets people see them for themselves, FOX relies on a hodge podge of we all know, everybody knows, and takes facts out of context without providing the whole story.

I know what the facts are when I've read an indictment or judge's ruling, then when I hear a representation of it I can tell whether it is being spun or misrepresented. I often can see Maddow taking a departure from what something actually said, but she also often represents facts as the source is.

It's not just Fox that only tells part of the story Woody. The MSM alphabet networks have a bad habit, of only showing the left side support, of any story having anything remotely to do with the Trump administration. They conveniently leaving out any, if not all good things they have done. So take your 'my party better than your party' and stick it where the sun don't shine.

I agree! L*****t media should not be twisting the t***h and lying in an effort to dictate the American political narrative. It needs to be stopped!! The simple fact that news outlets like MSLSD and CNN can dev**e their fullest efforts to oust a sitting president (Project Veritas) cannot be allowed to continue!!

The fraud perpetrated by these "news" outlets is wrong! Fortunately, the ratings show that the American public can see through it all!!
