Or agreeing with someone on the other side. On really hard right and liberal sites even those who fit very well can be turned on for agreeing with something someone from "the other side" says. The first step of finding common ground is to identify the things people can agree on, and hard leaning people can't seem to settle in on any middle ground. Even politicians can't take moderate positions against hard line party support without being called RHINO's

Why do you find it strange? Conclusions are drawn with minimal information all the time, in fact, too much information just confuses people.

I am fortunate. I have a few Aunts that I know will be in Heaven. When I am banging on the door, they will be doing everything to get me in there. If it is welded shut too hard, I have a lot of hunting buddies, ex co-workers, and drinking buddies to keep me company in the heat.
