Everyone is in favor of a tax cut but no one wants to cut spending. Neither party addresses the deficits. the fiscal year 2019 deficit is a trillion dollars. It has been that way for a long time. Since 1970, the federal government has run deficits during every fiscal year for all but four years, from 1998 to 2001. The effect of these cumulative budget shortfalls is debated by political analysts and economists, but their origins are much less controversial.

Ever since the time of Alexander Hamilton, the U.S. government has turned to deficit spending as a means of financing wars, growing federal influence and providing public services without having to raise taxes or cut existing programs. Andrew Jackson was the last President who paid off the debt entirely. None of the current candidates, including Trump, have a plan for reducing the deficit.

The democrats aka progressives want to raise taxes to spend on social services like painting gay attracting rainbows on the downtown sidewalks among other things. The House of Rep. control the spending of monies that POTUS has manage to save by bringing jobs back from other countries. POTUS Trump is saving taxpayer money by tightening the requirements on food stamp handouts etc. Trump also is asking other countries to buy more products made in the USA to balance the deficit, and raising the duty tax to offset said deficits but those saving are squandered by the democrats in the House. I say that Congress has to drop those frivolous impeachment dreams and get back to work for the people.

The amount of money the U.S. government spends servicing its debt would surpass defense spending by 2024 and Medicaid spending by 2021, according to a study by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB).
The federal deficit is the ignored problem with the budget. Will President Trump attempt to "fix IT" as he fixed it as a businessman. He declared bankruptcy and walked away leaving the debt holders holding an empty bag. Some president is going to have to face the deficit problem head-on and bite the bullet.l

I do agree that it's on a runaway train, because the same people who left IOU's in the Social Security account are the same who spend like its free money, but we all know its the taxpayers who need it more rather that giving it to other countries and to non-citizens in form of medical and S.S. benefits. I believe POTUS is more Patriotic that the average American. By withholding monies to other countries (pork) along with raising the Tariff duty on imported goods we are saving a lot of money but since the House Democrats control the spending the deficit will be ignored rather that follow POTUS stance on Keeping American Great. He won't leave us holding the bag.

Trump has focused on the trade deficit, not the budget deficit. The trade deficit has little if any effect on the budget. The President proposes and the house builds a budget based on the proposal.

What I wrote in essence is that if the tax on trade save money and goes into the coffers we could use that to start equalizing the budget, that’s what I like about POTUS is that you can see what He wants to do, that why the One World Liberal Democrats don’t want POTUS to succeed.

Tariffs, taxes on trade, are passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices. Instead of higher taxes we just pay higher prices.

It will get worst if The Democrats get control because they have already said that higher taxes is what they’ll implement. Let’s count our blessings that He’s doing the best for our country.
