Bread 2

When satan asked Jesus to turn stones to bread, He answered with a scripture from Deuteronomy 8:3.

And He humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knowest not, neither did thy fathers know; that He might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
Deuteronomy 8:3

We should note that all Jesus used to defeat satan was the written word of God. If all Jesus used was the written word of God, then that is all we need. So what is God saying in Malachi 1:7?

Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.
Malachi 1:7

The polluted bread is bad ideas. Ideas like God values praise over obedience. We are taught that grace frees us from obeying the law, but grace doesn’t free us from paying tithes. You gotta be a special kind of dumb to beleive grace frees us from the law; so we can steal, murder, and commit adultery; but grace doesn’t affect tithes. This doesn’t make sense. Its either all or none.
