Drug use is a problem that our society suffers. In a sense, the war on drugs is on our selves (drug users). The drug users drive the demand for illegal drugs thus the drug traffic. Prohibition created a huge market for illegal alcohol that was only solved by legalizing alcohol. Legalizing marijuana has cut down the trafficking of illegal marijuana in states where it is legal. I don't support the use of drugs but it seems that the demand is strong and as long as there is a market for illegal drugs someone will do the suppling for the money.

the war on drugs was another slush fund like foreign aid. We gave money to countries to fight drug cartels, they buy US helicopters and weapons with half the money, and buy politicians with the rest, Reagan and the CIA were bringing in drugs from southeast asia and Columbia.It was all a s**m.
