"Impeachment" hasn't arrived at the Senate, so it has nothing to do, at this juncture, with the Senate, which renders the entire premise of your post moot, at best.
The reason it has yet to arrive at the Senate is because the House hasn't sent it there.
The reason the House hasn't sent it there is because Representative Schitt and the Kangaroo Kongress Kritters® haven't yet been able to sew their tissue of lies together sufficiently submit their desired frame-up, though not for lack of trying. Sometimes The T***h© is difficult to circumvent.
As far as the plethora of unaddressed problems in the to-do column, there are only the Democrats to blame; had they been doing the job We, the People® pay them for instead of spending the last 35 months trying to find something, anything, legitimate or not, they could use to undo the 2016 e******n results and bring down our duly elected president and otherwise bending over backwards to obstruct, rather than compromise his every agenda, these problems you cite would likely have been addressed.

You may want to consider that the border is porous because the Democrat controlled House has denied desperately needed funding that they formerly approved as long as Obama was in office.

Perhaps, if the Democrat leadership was doing their job and at least trying to work with the president -- you know, what our taxes pay them to do -- instead of dev****g every minute of We, The People's time and millions of dollars of We, The People's hard earned tax money obstructing his every move and seeking ways to impeach him, the deficit, along with a number of other things that need doing, would be dealt with.
Instead, the Democrats are essentially ripping us off. If private sector employees turned in a job performance like the Democrats have the last two years and nine months, well... They wouldn't have been employed for more than a quarter of that time.
You folks are living in a bubble: you honestly believe that most of the American v****g public is stupid enough not to see that the Democrats are wasting our time and money playing political games to the exclusion of all else.
