Trump Created A Whistleblower Protection Department...But He H**es Whistleblowers

It wouldn't be hard to guess how this went, would it? Trump created the Office Of Accountability And Whistleblower Protection...

The IG, who has been keeping an eye on this agency found that Trump's first executive director, Peter O'Rourke, used his position to end investigations into allies, and failed to provide even basic reports to congress. Part of whistleblower laws require that all reports by whistleblowers be reported, even those found not to be credible. It is not optional for a person in charge of protecting whistleblowers to violate the rules and regulations involved.

The IG reports that the office did not have an approach that insured comprehensive and impartial investigations. The office itself engaged in actions that could be considered retaliatory. This was effectively used as a "catch and k**l" system to help hide corruption in the system.

More of Trump's "most t***sparent administrations ever in history"

He's not exactly a fan of the one that blew the Ukraine thing wide open, the one that has an array of state department people testifying on.

You gotta stop the whole deep state everything is made up f**e news baloney. Trump did these things, he withheld critically needed military aid to the Ukraine, he had Giuliani as well as Barr running interference on an agenda that was not being done within official channels.

The worst part of what Trump did in the Ukraine was that he blocked them from getting anti tank weapons that would have helped them destroy Russian tanks and hold their region they were forced to withdraw from. He did that for Putin, Putin pressured him to withhold that military aid, and whether it can be proved or not the fact is that this is what he did.

It's just your inability to understand. Like all your buddies here on this site.
So, what will you do when he wins, cry? Find a safe place to hide?

The creep your mob call a whistleblower is not a real whistleblower, he/she is a HEAR SAY BLOWER.
Hearsay is not allowed in any court of law. Get some smarts.

You seem to have no awareness of the system and how it works, it has multi level safeties built in, and those who refuse to adhere to them are doing so because they are abusing the system, there is no other reason.
...You have an IG who sees the whistleblower report first with an eye toward credibility
...Reports are filed and reviewed
...It gets investigated, documents and corroborating witnesses determined
...it gets passed on for further prosecution or determination of consequences

Even in cases that are bogus, reports are filed, there is a paper trail that can be checked or audited to oversee what and how things that are reported are dealt with.

It is far harder to trump up a bunch of BS whistleblower charges than it is for a biased partisan controlled head of the process to refuse to look at credible reports of wrongdoing that affects his friends and cronies, which is what was happening. It was apparently taken further which is to go to the department head where a complaint of wrongdoing happened and tell them that they had a person filing reports about their policy violations.

There is only one type of person that has a problem with whistleblowers, and that is the ones who are abusing positions of power and violating regulations and laws.

You guys need to pull your head out and get a grip on the reality of what whistleblowing is, how it works...

It is by the very nature an anonymous thing, no the person reported to be doing wrongdoing does not get a chance to face his accuser, that's the idea. But the really important thing about a WB report is whether the report is valid, whether the usually higher up person did what the WB report says, and whether the IG or persons in charge of looking into the reported violations are able to determine that by records or corroborating witnesses in positions of knowledge.

When or if the violation warrants prosecution and a court, the prosecution is about the evidence found in the investigation, not about how they were tipped off to it. If it did indeed happen the guilty parties are not going to get off because of anything to do with the whistleblower themselves as long as their report was filed correctly with the right person.

In an impeachment it is the evidence that will be heard, not the origins of how the violations came to be brought to the attention of authorities who could do something about it.

There is spin and then there is what I'm talking about, which is pure common sense and facts. You guys on the right keep whining and crying about a hearsay blower. This whistleblower did it right, his reports of what he saw or heard about...and it makes no difference whether he heard about it through the grapevine or what, way more is coming out than was in the original WB report...and any future impeachment or senate "hearings" or court or wh**ever you want to call it is not going to be run like the traditional court, this is not going to be thrown out because of a procedural technicality like the origin of the whistleblower. State department and trump insiders are cooperating, people are not going to lie for Trump.

You need to get a knew spell checker
