I will keep this simple why the GOP resolution to condemn House Impeachment Inquiry is both baseless and hypocritical

1.The biggest problem with Republican critiques is that Democrats in the House are following a playbook for investigations that was first written by Republicans in large part over the past several years.

Depositions held behind closed doors? That’s what happened with the congressional investigation by the GOP into the 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic facility in B******i, Libya.

“Of the 50-some odd interviews we have done thus far, the vast majority of them have been private,” said Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., who chaired the House Select Committee on B******i, in 2015.

2. The GOP created the rules they are protesting against to get Bill Clinton impeached and Hillary indicted for B******i.

A totally d********g display by Republicans of wanton partisanship to derail a legal and proper Constitutional process. All Americans demand the t***h, and all patriots should fight for it not look to obscure or bury it like the GOP.

Protecting the Office of the presidency should be a natural bi-partisan effort: it is the symbolic face and values of our country.

Over two years of closed hearings by the GOP.

I am looking forward to cases of "Arkancide"

As the Criminal Investigation gets closer and closer to Obama and immunity is offered to people like Brenner or Clapper or others who can provide testimony against Obama---some of these people may disappear as in (Arkancide).

You have totally neglected to mention the cooperation between parties and Republican openness in the Clinton impeachment in 1998, instead choosing to focus on an entirely different matter not involving a p**********l impeachment inquiry. There will be other impeachments, I am sure, when the Republicans will hold the upper hand. Perhaps they should act like Democraps and we will see how long it takes Liberals to squall like turpentined cats.

The House impeachment process generally proceeds in three phases: (1) initiation of the impeachment process; (2) Judiciary Committee investigation (Inquiry), hearings, and markup of articles of impeachment; and (3) full House consideration of the articles of impeachment.

If the committee determines that impeachment is warranted, it will markup articles of impeachment using the same procedures followed for the markup of other legislation. If the Judiciary Committee reports a resolution impeaching a federal officer, that resolution qualifies for privileged consideration on the House floor.

If the House approves the impeachment resolution, it will appoint managers to present and argue its case in front of the Senate.

Schiff and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence is operating outside the bounds of the constitution, the law, and the established procedures for the impeachment process. (The impeachment inquiry was never supposed to be held in secret.)

As long as Schiff continues with his Machiavellian political game and runs his inquiry in secret hearings and leaks selected, highly prejudicial information to the media, he is going to play hell bringing legitimate grounds for articles of impeachment to the full House floor. Wh**ever that sleazy SOB comes up with, he'd better have sufficient proof of impeachable offenses, or he's going to eat s**t when the full house goes for the v**e. Schiff's subterfuge will never make it to the senate.

All past impeachment proceedings were conducted in full view of the American people. Neither Johnson, Nixon or Clinton were prohibited from exercising their constitutional rights to actively and aggressively engage in their defense with all the constitutional and legal means available to them.

The United States of America is OUR country, it does not belong to the House of Representatives, or to the government in general, and it certainly is not the property of an insane pencil neck from California.

I find it incredibly hard to believe you, of all people, are pushing this vacuous garbage. It is absolutely without any merit or t***h. Pure Right Wing propaganda!

All previous impeachments, as with this one eventually, after an inquiry, are given a chance to respond. The House inquiry is not at that stage yet, and to suggest it is somehow violating Trump's "constitutional rights to actively and aggressively engage in [his] defense" is utterly absurd. Trump's time may come to do so yet that time is not now before the investigation is finished.

It is not an impeachment process yet, just an inquiry to see if there is cause for an impeachment process. The House is well-within its Constitutional rights at this point.

You can't change boats in the middle of a storm, bub. You all have been screaming "IMPEACHMENT" almost since the day Donald Trump was inaugurated. An impeachment inquiry is phase one of the impeachment process and the full House has failed to follow precedent. The Judiciary Committee is the one where the inquiry is supposed to take place, not in the House Select Committee on Intelligence.

Moreover, in all past impeachment proceedings, whether it be a president, VP or any civil officer of the United States (Article II, Section 4), the minority party (in this case, Republicans) participated fully. They were allowed to call their own witnesses, introduce their own documentation and conduct interviews. The entire impeachment process is supposed to be bipartisan.

What Shifty is doing is anything but. He has instituted a secretive and highly partisan effort in which he alone selects witnesses, and during the interviews, he chooses bits and pieces of their testimony that support his agenda then leaks that to the media. He is trying to drive the narrative in an attempt to dupe the American people, influence them, propagandize them.

Shifty's egregious and unforgivable political game is starting to backfire. Millions of us have that pencil necked little pricks number. That damned fool is h*****g himself.
