New Hampshire: House Committee to V**e on Firearm Seizure Bill

On October 30th, the New Hampshire state House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee will hold the final executive session on the carry-over House Bill 687, which would allow Second Amendment rights to be suspended and firearms seized without due process.

If any of you live in New Hampshire and hope to be able to defend yourself you better get on the ball.

In Africa if a man illegally shoots a lion it's the man's fault. In America if a man k**ls many people it's the guns fault! As far as I know there is no comparable 2nd amendment in Africa. The question I have is why are Progressives so bent on confiscating weapons? There tactics in the past have shown they never eat the Apple in a single bite rather they eat the Apple 🍎 in small incremental bites until it's gone.

The order to remove all firearms can be done ex parte, without a hearing, based on accusations alone, and the accused has no rights. That is not propaganda.

In reality, it violates 4 of the bill of rights amendments. The Left has no love for the Constitution and realy h**e's it.

No you did not. I did. Compare what your source said to what the bill says.

We've been having this problem in Vermont recently. Mike Bloomberg uses his $billions to "donate' (otherwise known as bribing) our legislators to pass anti gun bills. We have about the lowest crime rate in the US, so it isn't to lower crime. I was at some of the hearings and heard police chiefs testify that they could not enforce such laws and had no intention of trying. I suspect that such laws will be widely disobeyed. Wasn't it Jimmy Madison who said that any law that violated the Constitution was, by definition, not a law?

What may well happen is that when someone has to defend themselves against a home invasion, as we did in 2007, instead of scaring the perps off, they will have to k**l them. There are plenty of places in the Green Mountains, and in the White Mountains as well, where bodies could be stashed until the local coywolves destroy them. You always have to beware of unintended consequences.

It doesn't matter what the bill says. What matters is who enforces it. Where power exists, it will be abused

IX. In any proceeding under this chapter, the court shall not be bound by the technical rules of evidence and may admit evidence which it considers relevant and material.

159-E:4 Temporary Relief.

I. A petitioner may request, and court may enter, a temporary extreme risk protection order with or without actual notice to respondent.

The law enforcement agency may charge the respondent a reasonable fee for the storage of any firearms and ammunition taken

IV. No law enforcement agency shall be held liable for alleged damage or deterioration due to storage or t***sportation to any firearms and ammunition and specified deadly weapons held by a law enforcement agency, so long as due care is used.

So the respondent is accused, the court is not bound by rules of evidence and law enforcement may charge a fee that THEY consider reasonable and are not liable for any damage to another's personal property in the event they are found innocent.
What could go wrong?

So make it a felony to wrongfully accuse someone. Put the weapons in holding, and make it mandatory to return them. In the Republic of California they are adding co-workers, teachers, and others who can start the process.

It's the same as the RED F**G LAWS. Anyone that is not a friend can claim "you are a threat" and the law can come and search your house without a warrant and take your guns. You then have to hire a lawyer to get them back and that will cost you a lot. This law is violating 4 amendments of the Constitution. Write your governor and complain about it and your legislators.

This is a door to gun confiscation all over America unless you fight it.

No State can nullify the Second Amendment.

I am interested to hear how, exactly, how they intend to seize everyone's firearms.
(Maybe check with Beto on that). Who will actually do the seizing? The military? Can't,
that's against federal law. The police? Can't imagine the police or sheriff coming to my
door to take my guns......they might try but there will be a lot of blood on my doorstep.
Second problem is they don't know where all the guns are or where to even start looking.

Give it up, Nutballs! Guns are here to stay? Meanwhile do a little reading of world history.
First thing every dictator does is "Register" then confiscate the guns. How'd that work for
the Germans? And how it's work for the Russians under Stalin?

The Second Amendment was put in there, not for hunting or sport, but to protect citizens
from the government. A bunch of rag-tag farmers kicked the Brit's asses.....and there are
a LOT of descendants of those guys still around.
