My Job Depends On Ag
·

Why in the bloody hell, do the producers of food and fibre, need to explain, or justify, our existence to the consumers of our products?

Don't want the beef or cotton? Don't buy it!

Live on Kale and tofu, until your bodies need the byproducts of what we produce to save your life.

I don't care if you eat seaweed and fart peppercorn bubbles. Until you can feed a world on your dreams, we will keep producing what it takes to nourish society.

I'll not make excuses for the producers of the earth, who give the complainers of the world something to b***h about.

I would like to see a single alternative food producer, actually feed the hungry people of this world.

Did you ever see "organic food" or "non-GMO" requested by starving people in war zones or famine regions?

Organic, and GMO are arguments reserved for the well fed, fat and happy folks, who have nothing to lose.

There are many not for profit agencies, that feed the starving people of this world......and not a single organization seeks protein from an "alternative" food source.

Attacking modern agriculture may feel good, until you are hungry.

Why is it, that only the rich nations, have people who are willing to bite the hand that feeds them?

It is easy to be smug, and complaining, when you have nothing to lose.

Before you b***h about my pictures, the second picture is of people who fought for others......they came from a nation of plenty, and starved for others. The method of food production did not matter. Life mattered.

Rant over!

Only those with full bellies can afford to debate about where their food comes from, how it's prepared or what it looks like.

Geat post Thanks/ a lot of our people today don't stop and think and I blame a lot of it on the schools that are sterilizing our school books and not teaching any of this so our generations are literally coming out dumb self-absorbed. When they hear us old geezers talk about the holocust they state it never happened you talk about s***ery and the only thing they know is that the usa only had s***ery I could go on but its depressing

The day I eat kale, a burger composed of vegetable matter or tofu Italian sausage in a country with as bountiful a supply of real food as we have here in America will be the same day I become confused about my g****r, and that day's not gonna arrive in this lifetime, the next, or the one after that.

I'll just leave it to the "progressive" "liberal" girly man metrosexual a**holes to chomp away on their roots & berries while I chow down on a nice, juicy rib-eye or a dripping, medium rare cheeseburger made out of something that has recently said "Moooo!" 🐮

good post, 4430,, and so obvious.. while I try organic growing in my garden, I have never seen how production via that method could feed to world.. it is good for us, but not possable with 7 billion people eating ever day..

Come now Seth, let us not go nuts about food "recommendations", everyone has a preference..

Veggie burgers? I Have had 4 different brands that I recall, one was very good, one bad and the other two indifferent..

Best breakfast i ever had? well one stands out.. a customer long ago, has a meal waiting for me very early in the morning, Deer sausage wrapped in something like Lefse, was so good, I would have stayed all day if he kept feeding me..

So I propose, the promotion of deer farming, the wild way, they must roam the swamps and woods to gain the true flavor of wild game, only that can meet our exact needs and expectations..

They seem ready for the idea..

I had a neighbor that has since passed was always telling me every farmer should farm like her and just use manure and no chemicals !

Man it was a good thing she have lots of money as she sure didn't make it farming !

I told her once if we were to farm like she and her organic counterparts I would have her at the head of the board as to chose who was going to starve to death in the world !

I tell vegans I meet to keep right on eating vegan, as it leaves more real food in the world for me.

While I do think a person would be able to feed a family via Organics, to feed the population just does not seem to be possible.. Organic food may or may not be better for us, I take a certain amount of p***e when I get that food from my own efforts.. it clearly will not feed the world..

Hope you neighbor had money for an other source as you say..
