Speaking of the Republican led Senate, you need to read the article I shared on Willam Taylor's testimony that there WAS a quid-pro-quo. Now ask yourself how Trump is going to survive impeachment... What I find most ironic is that Trump had no sooner gotten past Mueller when he did the exact same thing with Ukraine that he was accused of with the Russians, proving that he hadn't learned a single god damn thing!

I'm not. I know a lot about investigations, and also about the results of rush jobs.

The magnitude of the crimes committed is unprecedented in our nation's history, and the defense attorneys involved will be the best and the brightest, the kind who are experts at finding the most microscopic loopholes, discrediting the most reliable witnesses and discovering and exploiting the most picayune elements of evidence presented.

Barr and the other pros involved in the investigations have to cover the most minute details carefully, building totally airtight prosecutions. They have to do much of it from the bottom up, finding smaller fish they can persuade, by showing them the trouble they're in, to roll over on bigger fish, then those on still bigger ones. Much of this also depends on obtaining and scrutinizing documents the bad guys don't want them to see, which can also take a lot of time.

The GOP Senate knows this, they know that senators are not professional investigators, so they're letting the pros build the cases.

The quest for instant gratification can lead to failure and disappointment, as the Dems will experience in their pursuit of impeachment.
