Obamacare says that if you work over 29 and a half hours per week your employer must give you health care benefits. Yeaaa! President Obama waived his magic wand and millions of working poor got health care. Is that what really happened?

No!!!!! Look at the wage s***es in the retail industry. These folks are low paid. It is just a fact of life that retail cannot pay high wages. It is a low margin cut throat industry. However, President Obama thought if he orders them to pay health care then it will happen.

Ah but, Obama lives in a big white mansion. Does he really know anything about the working poor? No. Are retail workers getting health care from their employers? No, but how can that be? Are the companies breaking the law? No. The companies have cut everyone back to 29 and a half hours.

So now people barely making it have had their hours and their income cut. You know who I blame? Everyone who v**ed Obama. Thanks a bunch guys.

If a person working 29 1/2 hours per week and is earning less than the amount that meets the poverty level threshold, they qualify for a premium subsidy or, if their state participates, Medicaid. So your post does not show the entire consequences of part time work versus full time work. Additionally, companies that provide healthcare to their employees receive a tax credit for providing that coverage, so your post implies that those companies prefer to reject those tax credits just to keep from providing healthcare for their employees. This makes no sense.

The tax credits don't cover the cost of the healthcare they would have to buy,I think you know that already.

Hey Jack,

This must all be theory to a an Obama v**er like you. I am friends with and am related to people who work retail and what I said is what is really happening. Are you a rich liberal? Are you retired? Why don't you know this stuff? Don't you interact with the lower classes?

This goes back to things I've posted before. Obama and his merry band of marxists claim to be for the downtrodden. They make a BFD about the gap between rich and poor. Now they have just widened it by decreasing the wages of the poor.

Socialism and class warfare does not improve the lives of the poor. 5 freaking years of Obama prove that.

You know what Jack, stop reading the propaganda sheets. Go out and talk to people who are struggling. It's hard to get on Obamacare and for some medicade is worse than no insurance.

You and your God don't have a freaking clue.

You know you could be right. You, your friends/family/co-workers probably reside in one of those states where the state government refuses to expand Medicaid to cover the poor. This is not an Obamacare problem, this is a problem with state government not giving a crap about helping the poor with medical care. Write your governor.

The tax credits are the healthcare premiums plus other incentives.

Several retailers who used to provide health insurance to part-timers voluntarily no longer do because the insurance they were providing did not meet the new standards. So they dropped all the part-timers off the insurance payroll and told them to work no more than 29 hours. Many of these part-timers were used to working 32, even 35, hours a week. So Obamacare not only cut off their insurance but also cut the hours they were used to working.

Then the retailers told their part-timers to get insurance on the exchange. Problem is, the deductibles on the exchange are outrageous, especially for families. What good does it do to get a subsidy when the deductible is $7500? The exchange insurance is worthless insurance.

Thus, they turned to Medicaid and a whole lot of people who were once doing just fine and pulling their own weight now no longer can. Food stamps and Medicaid, isn't that exactly what we criticize WalMart for? Now because of Obamacare it's no longer just WalMart. Talk about spreading the joy around.

One big question I have is, why do the senate, congress or representatives and our POTUS have a free pass to not use Obama care? Why do they not pay into social security? The debt we pay, they get abstinence from. Is this we the people? No its they the politicians. When do we stand up and say do your job, but join the real world. We have poverty rampant in America. This is because politicians have made sure to protect themselves from associating with their constituents. Obamacare should be shared across the board. Social security should be shared across the board. Now we could see the debt be paid down and politicians would appreciate who's really in charge. We.

So more welfare is your answer. What about policies that allow poor people to get good paying jobs and then afford to pay for their own freakin health care? Like that will ever happen under Obummer!

You are truly the low information v**er. Only in your case it would be the no information v**er.

It's a long hard struggle to get rid of the destructive policies that you v**ed for. Thanks to you and the other no information v**ers, the American economy is in the same shape as Obama's foreign policy. Afghanistan and Iraq are reverting back to the terrorists, while the American economy is reverting back to the Carter days.

No, welfare is not the answer, but for people that are in need of assistance in receiving life saving or preventive healthcare, there should be no boundaries on how they receive that care.

The President alone cannot introduce bills or initiate actions to promote the creation of good paying jobs, and it's people like you that think he can. Your republican led House of Representatives campaigned on creating jobs, but they've done everything else but. They are more concerned about denying Obama any successes, no matter how much it has hurt the people that you have mentioned. You can try to blame Obama for everything, but you really need to open your eyes to the real reasons things are as they are.

I could care less about Afghanistan and Iraq reverting back to their old ways. It's not our responsibility to be the world's police force. For your information, we will never ever put boots on the ground in any other foreign conflict. We have sacrificed enough American blood for ill advised political and greed induced reasons.

The biggest lie is not that, "You can keep your health care," it is the one that says "Obamacare is, "affordable.""

Assistance should be TEMPORARY not permanent. You do not get that!!!!! You might believe that you are not trapping people in a socialist paradise, but your God Obama knows exactly that he is doing that.

You can't fix stupid so I can't fix you, but it's a lot of fun to try.

Now as far as American blood on foreign soil. There currently is a docudrama on Hitler, Churchill, Patton, MaCarthur, Tojo, and Chaimberlin on TV. You really should watch it. They combine the World Wars and the peace in between. While I have questions about the accuracy of some of it, they do show how your type of thinking got tens of millions k**led.

One final point. Your God Obama knows nothing about creating real jobs. Opposing every single thing that clown does is the best way to create jobs. That man pisses away money and has nothing to show for it.

Just like the dense moron you are, you just repeat what you hear other nuts say. "Everyone on public assistance is there permanently", "all people on public assistance are lazy", etc, etc. When you use words like "always", all, everyone", "never", "every time", and other words that have non-specific value, you show just how stupid you are.

Your ignorant statement that opposing everything that Obama does is the best way to create jobs is mind boggling. You can't have it both ways. With all the opposition thrown at him, and according to your logic, your friends should be employed in well paying full time jobs with excellent health insurance coverage.
