And that is the point of the 2nd Amendment, it is not for hunting or sport, it really isn't even for defense against criminals. The specific purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to protect American citizens from an abusive, overreaching government bent on making them subjects. And that is why the left h**es it so much.Throughout history, under their rule, there are no citizens, ONLY subjects, forced to submit to their power and control.

The sk**ls of our modern politicians have deteriorated so much that they would rather rule unarmed subjects than lead armed citizens.

Part of the problem is that big money has bought too many political leaders, and that is a big arguement in favor of term limits. But any "e******n reform" has to include some provision for stopping and /or punishing bribery. Here in Vermont, with a heavily armed population, loads of guns, with the lowest crime rate in the Nation most years, that Yorker billionaire, Mike Bloomberg and his organization, "Gunsense Vermont" buys v**es in our legislature every year. My so-called rep takes about $500 from him every year and v**es for anti-Constitutional laws every time. Of course he does this to achieve "security" for his constituents. As Ben Franklin once warned, 'those who give up liberty for security will have neither.'

You are right on! As you know, but some readers may not, it says so right in that Declaration if Independence. After explaining why humans establish governments it goes on to say " and whenever any government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it and to establish new government, deriving it's just powers from the consent of the governed." and Unarmed subjects can't do that..

I'd rather see such changes happen by peaceful means, but these two parties, (not mentioned in the Constitution) have a solid grip on the money needed to win e******ns, keep themselves in power and too many of them take bribes and manage to save $millions on a salary of $174,000 a year. It's a discouraging prospect

during Obama's years in office. He didn't do squat for the economy, he demeaned business,
remember him saying "You didn't build that".....? I was in business at that time and I damn
sure DID built it. But what would he know about business, he never even ran a lemonade stand.
