It won't be Russia or Ukraine. It would be very bad decision to leave Syria that might end his Presidency!!! He should listen to his allies like Sen Graham who was on his side from the beginning!!!!!!

He cannot be impeached for that decision, good or bad.

What you are right about is that it all has a cumulative effect, the effect being that the GOP has been standing on some very shaky ground not going after Trump for things they know they should have, it's the one thing that has a higher level of distastefulness that becomes the trigger.

The Ukraine thing is getting worse every day, and Trump losing the ability to intimidate people not to testify is k*****g him in terms of a story coming out that there is no defense for. Republicans are going to be put in a position where they will be seen as not fulfilling their oaths of office if they don't impeach for things there is no defense for. Giuliani is not far away from being arrested, and he's way too close to his boss.

I understand, but if he loses allies like Graham and others then ì would be much easier for Democrats to impeach him!!! That's just my opinion!!!

Not to argue, but it wasn't a bad decision. ISIS is beaten down but will NEVER be fully gone. The Kurds are part of the Syrian Defense Force and it is up to Syria to defend their borders if they so choose. Now that ISIS is defeated we really don't want to continue to fight against Assad with the rebels. We don't want to fight against Turkey who are our allies as much as we might not want to admit it. Turkey told us over a year ago they were going to do this. Unless Turkey is an ISIS supporter, it shoudl help to hold ISIS down. Hopefully they will just k**l the jihadist's. But who knows. It is too convoluted to risk the lives of our guys any longer.

Actually a president can in fact be impeached for making unsound decisions. He is on dangerous ground when top military, intelligence, and state advisers have been telling Trump this is a bad move for months. It would only take an inquiry into his phone call with Erdogan and his decision to withdraw within a short period, too short to have talked to anybody else in any official capacity. There should have been a war room strategy session before a decision like this, if not congressional approval.

Yes, a president could be impeached for a decision this bad that seems to have been ordered by Erdogan, were there threats such as taking Trump's towers in Istanbul, or the Turkish money laundering with an ex Giuliani client that just came to light?

You have bought into rhetoric that is about justifying this. Trump talked to an angry Erdogan and made this decision because Erdogan told him to. Go back to that and everything after is just designed to defend a really bad decision made for the wrong reasons.

It's not. Not all the Kurds are good guys and some groups have been openly at it with Turkey for over a hundred years. It is not as simple as it seems. And Turkey is not the Turkey we once knew, although the people are. It is not a good place to be now.

Look at it this way. What would you have done and then look at the results of that. You have many options. Pretend you are one year ago, almost ending ISIS caliph**e, and Turkey says when that is done they plan to establish a 30 mile buffer between them and Syria, yet the Kurds refuse to move.

Go from there. Or just jump forward and decide. Stay or go. What happens?? You are responsible for our guys, by the way!

We have left them to their own dealings 7 other times. They need to decide but they always continue to mix it up in the ME adding to the mess.
