Ex-Bush Aide Has Damning Theory For Why Trump Supporters Won't Turn On Him.

Peter Wehner said there’s a reason why many of President Donald Trump’s most loyal supporters won’t turn on him. Wehner, who served in the administrations of presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush and as a senior aide in the White House of President George W. Bush, said it comes down to a concept called the psychology of accommodation.

“It is almost like a hermetically sealed world,” Wehner said on CNN’s “Reliable Sources.” “Facts are like BBs, they’re just bouncing off of a brick wall. They just don’t penetrate.”

“People decided early on for a variety of reasons to accommodate themselves to Donald Trump, some of them thinking that things would get better, that he would grow in office, that he would be surrounded by good people,” Wehner said. Instead, Trump has gotten worse. But because of their early accommodation of the president, these v**ers are essentially stuck with him.

“Now it’s not just a defense of Trump. It’s a defense of their defense of Trump,” Wehner said. “To indict him is to indict themselves, and to indict their own judgment, and that’s hard for any human being.”

The result: “They will defend him regardless of what happens, come hell or high water.”

In 2016, Trump bragged that his supporters were so loyal that not even murder could shake them.

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue, shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any v**ers,” he said.

The current method the liberals/progressives are using is attacks on Trump supporters. Attacks on President Trump has been ineffective. They are employing emotional attacks, they seem to think they can "guilt trip" his supporters into NOT v****g. They know Conservatives will never v**e for the current array of Democrats running, so their only hope of securing the office of president is persuading or shaming Conservatives to stay home and not v**e. To do this, their soldiers are passing along all negative opinion pieces on social media.

I think that the biggest appeal to Donald Trump for president is that he is NOT part of the Washington establishment that seems to mire down everything for the people and rewards just the establishment group. I also think that that is the major reason that the democrats h**e him as well. He can't be bought and he he won't go along to get along and that makes him a thorn in the side of every Washington insider that is in Washington D.C. But here again these are just my opinions for wh**ever they are worth right.

I think they keep him in place because he doesn't read things and will sign anything they put in front of him.

Another "Never Trump" with an opinion which doesn't hold water. Who cares????? For every guy you find like this guy, I'll find you an "Alan Dershowitz" a Democrat and very smart man, who says a lot of great things about Trump.

Exactly. He's a breath of fresh air who looks at things from a common sense point of view. He's not a politician per se which is a huge plus. Have been "in his corner" on almost everything. The pullout from Syria I was against until he explained it during one of his speeches. I thought to myself that really makes sense. Are we going to keep losing "blood and treasure" or more like many lives and tons of money fighting these ENDLESS WARS????? It makes no sense...especially when you can't definitively say we are better off than we were 19 years ago. That's just insane when you think about it. Some ask "Was this the operative, perfect time?? T***h is "there is no perfect time ~ it just keeps going on and on. It's almost like an alcoholic saying I'm just going to have "one more". If any one of you can honestly tell me that we are better off in any of these wars than we were when it started, I'll change my mind....all the way back to the Vietnam war. We've been on the losing end of all of them....and how soon we forget.
