He should get his day in court in the House, too. In both the Nixon and Clinton impeachment proceedings, the House ran the proceedings in a fair way. Both sides could call witnesses, ask questions of those witnesses, witnesses were allowed to bring counsel, etc., etc. And, before any of these proceedings took place, the entire House v**ed on whether or not to go forward with impeachment, which means that ALL people had a voice, through their Representatives, on whether to even hold these hearings or not. That is precedent. That is fair. That is due process. That is not what is happening here.

Instead, Pelosi and Schiff, along with a handful of DEMS at the top of the House food chain, have declared that this "impeachment inquiry" should go forward based on second-hand evidence. And they are planning to do all of it in secret, so that only the bits and pieces of testimony that fit their narrative are leaked to the public. What they are hoping is that, with the help of the media and skewed polls, these deceptive tactics will sway public opinion enough that they can get enough v**es from the entire House. This is entirely unfair and unprecedented, and they know it.

And Trump knows it, too. He already gave them a transcription of the phone call, which I am pretty sure surprised the heck out of all of them and threw a great big wrench in their plans. But they march on … an impeachment mob looking for something else … anything else … they can use to start the next big witch hunt.

Trump has said he would be happy to provide documents and allow testimony IF these proceedings are done in a fair way. All Pelosi and the rest have to do is follow precedent. But they know they can't win that way.
