The oh-so-progressive City of Portland, Oregon has banned urinals in the $195 million remodel of the Portland Building. This is the structure housing the municipality’s administrative offices. Keep in mind, urinals use less water than conventional toilets, so they ought to be considered environmentally friendly. They are, however, considered a relic of a bygone era – an era, that is, when it was at least tolerable for men and women to be recognized as biologically different.

No more. Thus, no accommodating of males who prefer peeing while standing up. Even though the old-fashioned hardware should be favored by water-conserving “Greens”, their priorities have crashed up against those of the LGTQ activists … and guess whose preferences have been – ahem – flushed away?

Democrats are LUNATICS On another note, I went out to dinner last night with a friend I haven't seen in awhile. She had gone to Denver to visit her cousin, and said the city is full of homeless, and that there is such a problem with pickpockets there is a whole new squad of police downtown to try to protect tourists. WTH is going on in our country?

Brings a question Deb,, to me it seems the homeless problem is getting worse rather then better as both parties have promised.. It is for sure in the twin cities..

What do you think? How is it in your neck of the woods.

MMMM, I seem to be a bit of subject, sorry about that..

I live near Chicago, so homelessness has been an issue for many years. I dont know what to attribute the rise to. There are help wanted signs everywhere, so not a lack of jobs. Maybe the opioid epidemic? That's been on the rise for 15 years. I wish I had an answer to that. Winter is coming. Thank God we have many churches and other homeless shelters so most dont have to sleep out, but they're not allowed to hang there all day so most ride the buses all day to stay warm

I guess so. But it does break my heart, most especially when kids are involved. I experienced that, but luckily always worked so we were able to stay in cheap weekly motels for a short time. It's a horrible thing

I live in Maine and there is definitely a homeless/lack of affordable housing crisis. Most of the apartments are too expensive so there is a lot of roommate ads. Even rooms for rent are high...But, this summer we had some (i******s) immigrants (approx 150) come here and voila they somehow found housing for all of them. All the while the LEGAL CITIZENS are still living on the street and being told they don't qualify for subsidies or even short term help... I say deport them all and start over. Stop giving $$$, and plenty of it, to countries who want to k**l us or only want our $$$. Let them take care of their own. CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME!!! Let's fix our own problems first like homelessness, drugs, food insecurity and everything else. Does this make too much sense???

Teabag, your use of the word "Sissification" caught my eye...this week I heard a you-tuber say young North American men are losing up to 30% of their hand-strength.Piqued,I looked it up and,by golly,it's true.I don't know how to post links, but one source is the Journal of Hand Therapy, among many others.I'm an old tradesman, and my hands are shot, but people still know I'm a man when I shake hands.
Sitting to pee? Not yet...my knees are pretty bad, too.

In many places in China it's just a hole in the floor (squat toilet)...

One can piss just fine standing up in front of a toilet

We have homelessness because the republican has kept their boot on the neck of the working man! With their anti-union right to work laws.
When they go to a restaurant they want to be waited on hand and foot but don't think the serving staff deserve a wage High Enough to actually have an apartment and food on their table if you ask him about it he'll say something stupid like all these are entry-level job so I guess that means if you work at these jobs you're expected to be homeless.
No one in America should be able to work 40 hours a week not have a roof over his head or food on his table and some kind of Medical Care.
