I think Boris is what I said he was initially a wind bag no principles no ethical ideas about anything someone who was willing to clutch on to Trump's coat tails for a free ride.

Brexit has zero to do with the US.

Brexit is only workable if Trade deals pop up out of nowhere, or Britain, or parts of Britain stay in the Customs Union without any decision making capacity, if not then there has to be immediate t***sfer of supply and destination of goods and servives.

G.O.P. policies put into effect by the present administration are totally different than Obama's T***s Pacific Partnership which was all about trade, and worked for Australia even though it tried to exclude China which was only ever farcical.

TPP could have represented 40% of global GDP and 35% of Australian bilateral trade, but it didn't happen, as was planned in 2013.

I think it didn't happen because it was realised China couldn't be excluded.

Congress abandoned TPP in November 2016 supposedly because of more lost manufacturing jobs in the rust belt states, maybe there is nothing anyone can do about that because of monopolies needing growth markets and cheap labour.

Unless everyone agrees to reduce consumption.

Both Britain and US are in the same boat, Trump has abandoned Asia and Britain has abandoned the EU, this has happened simultaneously.

That is the connection, it's not going to be easy wh**ever happens now.

I just wish Australia would take a back seat because manufacturing is critical, everything else is on tap except manufactured goods because it's so hard and complicated setting up and operating modern factories.

Britain needs both finished goods and primary products the US can't replace the EU for fresh vegetables and manufactured items while the US cutting ties with China is probably the same as cutting ties with Asia, China is the reliable powerhouse.

Rebranded TPP will probably be Democrat policy for 2020 and Conservative platform in the coming e******n or referendum in Britain will be "remain" although they will try to spin it differently, Boris has caved and is not going to risk breaking the law with all legal judgments going against him at the moment, he could change his mind but a jelly fish only goes with the flow.

Thanks for the reply.
