Really? How so? Who gave us the freedom to choose, to form opinions, to understand God's laws? What did the giver of free will expect from those to whom it was given?

"What did the giver of free will expect from those to whom it was given?" - Blade
Common sense. To use their noodles.

I am sure God meant that for liberals also.

Well put.
Different perspectives on the same path and also other paths.
Some with a good heart, and some not so good.
Motives; representing who, what and why?
A lot to search for.

So would throwing our Kurdish allies under the bus be due to a lack of emotional intelligence? Well, it certainly demonstrated a lack of empathy on the Kurdish part.

People who are emotionally intelligent tend to be empathetic, able to see different points of view, are open-minded, and bounce back from challenges, one expert told CNN.

"Some people think of emotional intelligence as a soft sk**l or the ability or the tendency to be nice. It's really about understanding what is going on for you in the moment so that you can make conscious choices about how you want to use your emotions and how you want to manage yourself and how you want to be seen in the world," said another.

Researchers in Belgium have linked a lack of emotional intelligence with right-wing political views, reports PsyPost. The study, published in Emotion, found that those who lack the ability to understand and manage emotions are more likely to have right-wing and prejudiced attitudes.

The concept of emotional intelligence was developed by Yale and the University of New Hampshire researchers back in 1990, and it's all about how emotions impact thinking.

There is t***h to that.
Conservatives are not as easy to manipulate using emotions over facts.

In answer to the questions posed at the end...

1. To be human is an answer in and of itself... What we are is what we were meant to be... As individuals or as society we are a collection of experiences and accumulated knowledge...A product of our environment... (as Debeda noted, God is a part of everything)..

2. We each and everyone of us have the answers... They are written in our hearts from birth... Whether we choose to read them, or acknowledge them, is up to us...

3. This is where we stumble.... And bump into one another... We each find our path and they don't always follow the same route... But they all lead to the same place... Some of us spend so much time focusing on staying on our own path that we lose sight of the wonders around us...And those who are on a similar journey...

Be blessed Blade... Today our paths have crossed...We bumped up against each other... But, for this short time, we shared a few steps... Safe journey brother

I appreciate your sentiments, but your answer to the question: "What does it mean to be human"? is truly puzzling.
We are what we are meant to be?
a collection of experiences and accumulated knowledge?
A product of our environment?
God is "part" of everything?

History's most brilliant scientists and philosophers, (believers and atheists) have spent the better part of their lives seeking answers to that question, and you did it in a few sentences.

What Does It Mean To Be Human? 300 Years of Definitions and Reflections

the question at its heart is among the most fundamental inquiries of existence, one that has puzzled, tormented, and inspired humanity for centuries.

I certainly don't have the answers, Kyle, and I am not trying to butt heads or cross paths with you, but what puzzles me is that you claim to be a Christian yet I see no indication that you are willing to defend that world view to the exclusion of all others with any sense of commitment.

I'll leave it there, I won't pursue this issue with you anymore. We are getting nowhere with it.

God bless. Stay safe.

The justification for it was the 'surprise' attack on Pearl Harbor, which was anything but. It was provoked and planned for at the highest levels of the FDR administration.

Right on, crazylibertarian.
Thanks for connecting the dots.

BTW; There are still a lot of Americans that do not know that.
