Says who? The Constitution is quite clear on the separation of powers, and the limits on the authority of each branch....................and POTUS does NOT have the authority to countermand Congress, and Congress has every authority to examine anything they please and for any reason they please. Ask Trey Gowdy.
And congress does NOT have the constitutional or legal authority to manufacture grounds for impeachment based solely on a political or ideological agenda.

Article II, Section 4 states: The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

President Trump has never committed treason nor has he bribed anyone. As for high crimes and misdemeanors:

In the Federalist Papers, Madison, Hamilton and Jay, made a clear distinction between what we normally view as a high crime or misdemeanor and those that apply to someone in an elective high office. Very different circumstance altogether. Misdemeanor, as the founder's defined it bears no relationship to those laws that apply to private citizens. A high crime or misdemeanor in the constitutional sense applies to those who, because of their official status, are under special obligations that ordinary persons are not under, and which could not be meaningfully applied or justly punished if committed by private citizens.

Therefore, impeachable offenses are quite limited. Unproven allegations, false accusations, porn stars and phone calls are not among them.

Impeachment is clearly constitutional. Whether the administration co-operates is irrelevant.

Non co-operation just shows the American people that this President clearly thinks he is not bound by the laws of the nation....that he can break them at will. I suspect the American people will have something to say about that in 2020. At this point he is only satisfying his base.

Just because you’ve placed your hopes into words, doesn’t make it so! F**e news does this all the time!

Faith in words? No clue what you're getting at. No more oral or written language? Or we believe in the Constitution at our own choosing and convenience?

for Godot?

But seriously folks....if it's for a v**e in the full House for an impeachment inquiry, there is no full v**e necessary. Ages ago the Republicans v**ed to give committee chairmen supoena power, even if the minority objected. The investigation can go on without Republican consent.

Waiting for the impeachment, of course.

Piss on your crooked "leaders'" pre-impeachment efforts and their LETTERS' demands. Piss on neocons too. They're as big a problem as the Dems. This is theater.

Impeach you numbskulls! You're so damn sure you got the goods it sounds like high noon in Tombstone. Are you gonna wait until he's reelected??? What kind of strategy is that?

I know you want impeachment NOW. How about we get the investigation going? The longer the WH obstructs and doesn't play ball, the longer the investigation will last. Ideally, into summer....

Finally, Trump told Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff to take their Impeachment Inquiry and put it in a place where the sun don’t shine!

And of course you support this violation of the constitution and rule of law? Dems control the house, they say what they want to investigate and how orif they fold the president accountable...

But besides that, state department and white house people Trump is telling to not testify are flipping him off and doing so. Yovanovitch started and many will follow, they will need to speak their piece so as to not catch a piece of the upcoming obstruction prosecutions...starting with Barr, who if he were a legitimate AG and not Trump's attorney, would be all over this like a bad case of crabs.

People are going to start flipping like pancakes...the deep state is strong

If the House would produce their articles of impeeachment and v**e to impeach then we can get straight to the trial where Trump cannot obstruct. What is so hard for the left to understand about that??

You can’t be serious! There is protocol governing the rules of impeachment. No president in their right mind would consent to a impeachment process which does not follow protocol. But the Dems are so hell- bent on getting their way that they are desperately trying to make up new rules for carrying out an impeachment process. Like in “Animal House”, they only adhere to a single rule for the impeachment process: Rule #1: “There are no rules!” What a bunch of Bozo’s. They belong in a circus!
