I don't think it works that way. Pelosi will not become VP, only president if they impeach trump and Pence, which I don't put it past them to try!!

So, the issue as you present, the Senate trial is not finalized by e******n day. President Trump wins a second term and Pence ran with him as running mate. Then the Senate finalizes the trial, finds President Trump guilty and gives him the boot....nothing changes, Pence becomes President and Pelosi is Speaker of the House becomes Vice. Only way around it is if President Trumps drops out of the race and Pence runs for President, he can then choose his running mate.
