College sports are a multi billion dollar industry. Coaches are often the highest paid State employees taking down millions while people squeal about a State legislator earning 60K. Not only should players be paid for the use of their name likeness and image they should get a cut of the gate and TV revenues. Beyond that they should be unionized so they can bargain to set work rules across the nation so that practice regimens are limited so as not to effect their educations or health negatively.

The Heisman trophy winner will receive the most and it will start to work the same as in the NFL the best players receive the most and those with less talent receive the least. This will also force other states to adopt the same program or lose their good players to California. The other option will be that California will be banned from college sports in other states.

I guess that we will have the big states football league and then we will have the little states football league right. That way the NFL will chose their players from the big states league. Maybe the NFL can have two draft classes the haves and the have nots draft classes. Either that or only the big states will have college sports and the small states will drop their athletic programs.
