Mixed emotions. KC has my old college's QB and the Lions have my high school's old QB. As a matter of fact, Bobby Layne was from the same high school as was Doak Walker.

Thats a lot of QBs to be connected to.... nothing like it for me..

It was a very exciting game. A real nail biter for us. The Lions played very well too. The rules are getting to be kinda iffy anymore, but they are what they are.

I think I should have said calls rather then ruling.. seems the calls were as the rules required..

Or, I think the 99 yard fumble return was challenged and that would be called a ruling..

How bout we impeach the rules. (Not to bring the impeachment bull back up. This is more fun) So after Clemsons close call, whose #1.

Saw the end of that game also.. so loved the call to go for 2, but the play did not seem the best idea..

have not looked at the weeks rankings.. I would think Alabama would be back on top..

Notre Dame looked hungover in the 1st half.

Alabama is ranked #1 I believe. followed by Clemson, Georgia, Ohio St., and LSU in that order. Only saw the Ohio St. vs. Nebraska game this week. What a blowout that was.

I prefer college games to pro football. Less predictable (and I love it that Denver is now 0-4 losing eight straight going back to last season) And partly because we had the hapless Chargers (I'm so glad they moved the L.A.).

Before yesterdays game Clemson was ranked # 1. Don't know which poll the TV stations use. Coaches, sportswriters, wh**ever, so maybe one of the polls also had Alabamy as #1 (hey, at least their not Mississippi).

I miss the grinding ground games of the NFC North during blizzards. Now that was football. Especially the 1967 Ice Bowl.

Just think. Texas A&M is training Alabama's next coach as we speak. As soon as the Alabama coach retires, A&M will fire Jimbo, Alabama will hire him, and they will win the National Title. It happened twice before! Go Aggies.

I really like H.S. football where the kids play for the love of the game. Small college is good too for the same reason.

A likely scenario.

Agree with you there flash, we have a few state champion HS teams around the area and some smaller college teams (Morningside and Briar Cliff) in Sioux City, Ia. and Augustana U in Sioux Falls, SD. Great football teams to watch. We also get a kick out of going to the indoor football league games.

Just got back from a week in Custer State Park and Deadwood. What a beautiful state S.D. is.
