How many coal plants are there in the world today?
The EU has 468 - building 27 more... Total 495
Turkey has 56 - building 93 more... Total 149
South Africa has 79 - building 24 more... Total 103
India has 589 - building 446 more... Total 1036
Philippines has 19 - building 60 more... Total 79
South Korea has 58 - building 26 more... Total 84
Japan has 90 - building 45 more... Total 135
China has 2,363 - building 1,171 more... Total 3,534
That's 5,615 projected coal-powered plants in just 8 countries.
The US is shutting down our coal plants, which have the best pollution controls made.
Democrat politicians with their "Green New Deal want to shut down those plants in order to "save the planet.
Wh**ever the USA does or doesn't do won't make a Tinker's Dam regarding CO2 unless the rest of the world, especially China and India, reduce their coal-fired power plants, too.
The whole g****l w*****g and c*****e c****e gambits by Democrats are to create a *supposedly*
sound, scientific basis to justify a federal government power-grab and the passage of MORE laws to increase taxes and increased control of the privately-owned power industry and its distribution, plus make your electric bill go up!
Oh, we will SAVE the planet! 100% Pure Baloney
I just love posts like this. Does not dispute the c*****e c****e agenda, just disputes the wisdom of trying to stop it.

The goal is to get the US to lose it's #1 status as well as it's status as a sovereign nation. If we do what the Green New Deal specifies, we will not have any military (they use cars, trucks, ships, planes and other equipment that have combustion engines). We will not have any beef or beef products to export and we will be in trillions of more debt, making us one of the poorest countries on earth.

I'm with you sir!
I ain't all that bright, and wasnt around for it; but I'm pretty sure there weren't any coal fired power plants, or Detroit diesels around at the end of the last ice age. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Gas or oil work just as well and burn cleaner
Lonewolf wrote:

You DO realize that gas and oil are f****l f**ls, don't you? The goal, Lonewolf, is to get rid of all f****l f**ls....not just coal.

The United States currently produces about 5% of the world's coal pollution. Why don't you go to the countries who produce the other 95% and spout your bulls**t there?
