The difference you are too ignorant to understand is that this was done openly through diplomatic channels, and served the purpose of intervening in the Ukraine being bled for billions of dollars through Russian corruption.

Trump was angling for a micro investigation against Biden, and it should have been done through channels at which time the Ukraine would have repeated that there was nothing there.
