Conservative posters will believe ANYTHING

A week ago I posted that Seattle was raising the minimu wage in the metropolitan area to $15/hr.

The usual howls and screeching started almost immediately.

First the terribly uninformed tried to blam the feds. Then they complained about government forcing business to pay fair wages.

Now at least two fools post the same lie about how the new law is ALREADY causing business to suffer.

The only problem is that THE NEW LAW DOESN'T TAKE EFFECT UNTIL APRIL 2015 !!!! and will be phased in over SEVERAL YEARS.

So if some business is already claiming that they have to raise prices, they are simply lying.

Most likely they are the greedy money grubbing conservative republicans who never make enough money without c***ting their customers.

BTW conservatives, make sure you never visit Seattle after the new law takes effect, you won't be able to afford to pay for your Starbucks, so stay in the backwoods of Appalachia and drink polluted water and moonshine.

   I have to agree with that. The wing nuts are not happy unless they are whining about something or spewing fear. That they. Want to see working people ground down with dirt cheap renumeration shows their sadistic nature.

It seemed when you posted this issue last week you were excited about the help people will get from this new law. But people will not feel the affect of this for years. How is that good? I posted in response to you last week that in Williston North Dakota, the staring wage is at 17.00 per hour at Wall Mart or McDonalds because of the demand, not because of a law passed. See what the economy and free market can do? We all want the same thing BoJester, it's just that we are different regarding how we get there.

"See what the economy and free market can do?" Well yea, but in the midst of the North Dakota oil boom you might be living in a box and spending $25 for breakfast . . .

Oh My God a liberal accidentally wrote the t***h. If you have a surplus of labor then wages go down, and costs of goods goes down. If you have a shortage of labor wages go up and costs of goods, housing, food, clothing, etc etc etc goes up.

Now explain to me how letting millions of more Hispanics into the country is a good thing for American workers ???

You CAN'T have it both ways.

I too live in a mildly palatial home 5000 sq ft, 80 acres adjacent to a state park over looking a national scenic river way.

And I don't think driving wages down today is going to help pay for social security and medicare tomorrow. It was a disaster in France when they tried it with North Africans and it's going to be a disaster for us too.

We are on a runaway train and the bridge is out .... But there is hope let's see how people like Brat do in November.

And I make my own meals thank you ever so much, ps I enjoy cooking lol
