That’s what is destroying our planet! Chopping down our trees to build baseball stadiums and parking lots. I recall an entire county mourning the loss of oak trees which were hundreds of years old to build a Sears store and parking lot. The trees are gone and, guess what, now Sears is gone.

Within cities especially, there ought to be trade offs for building parking lots. More parking lot size, more trees planted and water catch basins created as a trade off.

Why not build parking lots around trees? There would be shade and less runoff going into storm drains.

This is as goofy as it gets. Here in this country we practice sustainable logging. The only thing I see wrong with our wild area management is that the Feds are trying to close off all of the wild areas to all grazing and logging. So that when the brush gets thick, and wild fires get going. Either manage the land or lose it.
