As we all know following the rule of law under the Trump administration is non existent.

The same old Trump/Republican agenda playbook is now in motion. Destroy the messenger and ignore the message at all cost.
Apparently a whistle blower filled a complaint about Trump and the Solicitor General felt as though it was Serious enough to pass it back to Trumps DNI cronies at the National Intel agency to fill with the House Intelligence Committee Which is required by law. The law is very clear. But Trumps interim director refuses to pass it on to the intel committee in Congress.
I just hope to Hell this whistle blower is not a registered Democrat because she/He is screwed Trump will destroy this career official he will attack He/she’s family and He/She will be fired.
It will take on the same game plan as Lois Learner/IRS career destroyed. Same with Comey McCabe Strzok all careers destroyed Robert Muellar was attacked like nobody in history. Unfortunately there are these Trump supporters that actually believe that Donald Trump has absolutely done nothing illegal since the day he took over the White House.

Whistle Blowers within all our government agencies is legal these issues get reviewed and if it requires action it gets passed on to Congress to do the proper Oversight. The reason for the whistle blowers is preventing these people from going out to the press.

But we have a country now that the rule of law does not exist at the White House. Trump will not even allow the DNI to be even questioned on this matter.

(BUT LOOK OUT WHO EVER YOU ARE YOUR CAREER WILL BE DESTROYED.) All this does is prevent anybody in the National Intelligence agency from coming forward when any of Trump cronies are doing something illegal or putting this country in danger.

So then the administration can put it to rest by forwarding the whistle blower report over to the house intelligence committee, which by the way has republicans on it to keep the dems honest. Perhaps disturbing really means a matter of national security and even the republicans will agree it is a bridge too far.

The bottom line is that this is the law, and the house has absolute oversight over the president whether he likes it or not, the constitution says so. This is the way abuses by the president are held accountable, it's the only provision in the constitution to hold the president accountable.

The law spells out a further safety if the report is obstructed, the employee (whistle blower) has the right to inform the DNI (acting) through the IC IG that he is going directly to both the intelligence committees with it.

Nowhere in the law governing intelligence whistle blowing does it say the DOJ has a part in this, or the executive for that matter.

If it's nothing so be it, if it is as urgent as the IG says, it needs to be seen by congress to be determined.

By the way, the law also defines urgent, it isn't something that is less than the set of defining parameters.

How about when their employers are doing something illegal or unethical and the employee knows it? Does loyalty negate illegal? Trump definitely expects the kind of loyalty you are talking about. The law is there for a reason and nobody gets to ignore the law even if they think it is for the good of the country.

That was the kind of statement those who supported Hitler agreed with, every dictator has his followers that will allow abuses of the law when they fit their beliefs.
