Why would you think 'the left' has a single opinion? That is so condescending. Some of us will be disgusted, some of us won't care....

Personally I don't care. I'd be curious about why he collected aborted fetuses....but frankly, I don't follow the story. Not what's important to me.

Now I know that you'd think of me as a monster because I don't care about 2000 'little angels' but I don't care about that either. I see human beings as intelligent animals, no different in their rights to occupy the planet than any other animal. There is no outcry about the loss of whole species of other animals, and in fact people pay good money to k**l other animals. Why should I worry about a species that is over running the planet? We reproduce so fast we could be labelled a planetary v***s, so no....I don't have a problem with a******n, and care very little about this individuals collection.

Lefty enough for you? You think I speak for all l*****ts?
Why would you think 'the left' has a single opinio... (show quote)

Well, that is an animal rightist view. Animal rights is faux philosophy.

I'm not an animal rights person. I'm just not a 'humans are special' person.

My thought would be to reduce them by working on preventing unwanted pregnancies through education and contraceptives, etc. Yet, as the old saying goes: One can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink.

I hear that... But I have never heard the pro-"choice" movement expouse the idea any more than the Pro-life movement...

Mistakes happen.. Then we pay for them...

One way or another

There are also people on the right who support a woman's right to choose when to bear a child. Libertarians and conservative atheists come to mind.

Of course we won't hear from them because that is not the current right wing orthodoxy. OPP has become a very narrow representation of the right.

I disagree... The OPP has a rather broad spectrum of the right.... Would you really put us all into one narrow category?..Say yes and I will classify you with Kevyn

I am a 'humans are special' person. I'd choose a human life over an animal every time. Even someone like Kevin.

Just curious, C-D: Did/does China promote a policy determining how many children a family may have? I had always heard that was the case, but can't remember any verification of such a policy

No I don't put all on OPP in a narrow category, but you must admit that one doesn't hear from the conservative folks who are atheists nor for a woman's choice when to bear children. I know they exist, but usually one hears about those issues as a left wing 'sin'.

We differ on that, but hey, that's what makes the world go round.

A friend of mine Kristan Hawkins has an office in the WH now. Her Students For Life (I think that's the name) goes on different campuses and talks to students. They played a part in Planned Parenthood being defunded. Mamie one of her associates writes me every so often, she uses the gospel. I don't see how that or any secular reasoning will work (remember most of their target audience has rejected God). That's as much as I know I could tell them what it's really like inside one of those places, cold and sterile. Nothing like what a girl needs when she's so fragile.

Believe it or not I don't think government is the answer to this. But there is no way anyone will ever convince me that this is not a national tragedy and the continued cavalier acceptance of k*****g the innocent doesn't speak well of society in general.
