I am old and I'm Tired
This should be required reading.

By Robert A. Hall

I'm 83
Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked hard since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men k*****g their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims r**ting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't"believers;" of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery;" of Muslims mutilating the g*****ls of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari??? law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that, out of "tolerance for other cultures," we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassah Islamic schools to preach h**e in America and Canada , while no American nor Canadian group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight g****l w*****g, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense ofentitlement, rich or poor.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-wh**ever for their problems.

Yes, I'm damn tired . But I'm also glad to be 83, because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughters and grandson.

Yup and we are sick and tired of being lied to by the MSM and them telling us that Islam is the religion of peace. I wish that we could have news like when you and I were growing up where you could take the news to the bank and depend on it being accurate.

Yep. I know I am tired of working with no end in sight!! I'd be at work this morning, but I'm at the dang car dealer (since they opened 3 hours ago) waiting for an oil change and tires REALLY? I had an appointment. Told them what tires I needed days ahead of time. And an hour ago they told me they needed to order tires

Agree with everything here. Been working (civilian or military) since I was 16. Paid off my college loans. And if a Dem wins in 2020, from what I'm hearing, I'm going to have to pony up so that kids who ran up huge loans at colleges whose costs are obscene can have their debts forgiven. I'm going to have to pony up to help the government "buy back" the semi-automatic rifle I saved up for. So, in essence, I'm going to buy it twice, and in the end not own it!! And don't even get me started on Green New Deals and other Climate Claptrap!! Please, Dear God, KAG 2020!

All I can say is “Bless your heart, honey”. They just blame everything on computers and we’re supposed to accept that. But how in the world could a computer be blamed for those missing tires you ordered?

Paid off my college loans. And if a Dem wins in 20... (show quote)

Your college loans were a fraction of what school loans are now...correct?

Support moderate sensible gun laws and you won't have to be forced to sell your AR back to the government. Huge percentages of americans support background checks, magazine size restrictions, even banning new sales without going after existing AR's...the support drops off among people for the more extreme levels like forced buy backs. I am one of those who support reasonable but will not support buying back AR's unless it is voluntary, I paid $2500 for mine and it isn't going anywhere. That said I can live with no new ones, it isn't the end of the world or the end of other types of guns.

The slippery slope the hard right fears so much is going to take them right where they don't want to go, ultimately including martial law if they push it to the extreme.

What you fear the most is easily manifested by your fear.
