When will the GOP stop acting like babies and do something smart like negotiate legislation so that they get some gain? The GOP has been one failure after another and the only thing they have to show to the v**ers is they did nothing except complain.

There are bills upon bills upon bills setting in the Senate that have been passed by the House with Democrats and Republicans negotiating and writing them together. You may not have noticed Harry Reid has not brought them up for v**e.

Weather the president had the authority to trade for him or not is not the question. The question is has the president once again shown that him being a muslim has influenced his decision making process once again. I mean it was a win-win situation for Obama. Release 5 extremely dangerous muslim terrorist and get a home grown terrorist back.

Add that to the 100's of other anti-American anti-constitutional things he has done.

Fellow soldiers call Bowe Bergdahl a deserter, not a hero
By Jake Tapper, CNN/updated 8:13 PM EDT, June 4, 2014

(CNN) -- The sense of p***e expressed by officials of the Obama administration at the release of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is not shared by many of those who served with him: veterans and soldiers who call him a deserter whose "selfish act" ended up costing the lives of better men.

"I was pissed off then, and I am even more so now with everything going on," said former Sgt. Matt Vierkant, a member of Bergdahl's platoon when he went missing on June 30, 2009. "Bowe Bergdahl deserted during a time of war, and his fellow Americans lost their lives searching for him."
Vierkant said Bergdahl needs to not only acknowledge his actions publicly but face a military trial for desertion under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. According to firsthand accounts from soldiers in his platoon, Bergdahl, while on guard duty, shed his weapons and walked off the observation post with nothing more than a compass, a knife, water, a digital camera and a diary.

At least six soldiers were k**led in subsequent searches for him, according to soldiers involved in the operations to find him. The Pentagon was not able to provide details on specific operations in which any soldiers k**led during that time were involved.
Also, many soldiers in Bergdahl's platoon said attacks seemed to increase against the United States in Paktika province in the days and weeks following his disappearance.

"Any of us would have died for him while he was with us, and then for him to just leave us like that, it was a very big betrayal," said former U.S. Army Sgt. Josh Korder, who has the name of three soldiers who died while searching for Bergdahl tatooed on his back.

True but results matter. I hope v**ers give them some due credit for that but typically, they are results oriented.

Frankly, should I ever see Senator Reid and McConnell, along with Rep. Bohener and Pelosi, laying in the road after an accident, I would put forth my best effort to keep medical assistance from arriving! :!: :!:

I'm waiting for the dust to settle. McChrystal said there were no deaths from the search and supports the deal while these guys say there were six deaths and don't support the deal. So these guys believe one thing and their commander another. These are the same ones who took orders from him while on duty there? I'll wait for the rest of the story.

Hehe. Not always the good Samaritan? I'd help and you would too after seeing someone suffering.

Was McChrystal physically present during these events. I think not.

My issue is not having this villainous creature returned but with the ratio. It would seem to be very poor negotiating.

If I was guaranteed their injuries would prevent them from returning to the Congress, I might, notice might, consider allowing medical assistance. Could we let them suffer for a while at least?

I would join with you in this situation and I also would drive back and forth over the said bodies to make sure the area was well marked. If there was anything that I could do after that like helping them break bones to make it look more tragic I would assist in that also.

McChrystal will do what the Army Brass tells him to do. And the Army Brass has already said they stand behind the president. That is typical Cover Your Ass politics.

I believe the soldiers on the ground. They were there. The brass and the muslim president were not.

To paraphrase the comedian Lewis Black, "The Democratic party (sometimes) is the party of bad ideas. The Republican Party is the party of NO ideas.

People don't want a president with nothing positive to offer. That's why there was no President McCain nor President Romney.

I understand your logic. I'll wait. If they are wrong, it wouldn't be the first time some soldiers on the ground were mistaken about what happened.

Your response would seem to have the most common sense behind it. While I h**e the policies of the left, I would not leave Reid in the road to die, if I could help him, but I wouldn't mourn if he didn't make it.
