To this young woman, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC), the news media are making a great propaganda. If ten news items are published, three talk about her. It doesn't matter if what she says is stupid, what matters is to make her important. The famous writer Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens <1835/1910>) has phrases that are lapidary, applicable to everything that concerns to the person I am speaking about. Let's analyze the following: 1) Never argue with stupid people, they will d**g you to their level and then they will beat you with the experience. 2) It is better to keep your mouth shut and look stupid than to open it and confirm it. 3) Loyalty to the country always. Loyalty to the government, when it deserves it.
Is AOC really stupid? Being stupid is synonymous with foolishness, clumsiness or lack of intelligence and in the case of this young woman it does not seem that way. Her words are addressed to those who have no clear ideas of reality, in most cases to young people, who are influenced by their lack of criteria based on experience. She, with her stupidity, falls to the level of these young people who do not have a criteria about anything, who are influenced by what the group says, which is almost always directed by the stupidest, since as a rule, the truly intelligent are individualistic, generally rejected by the group. Although this behavior is not exclusive only to young people, as there are people who have become elderly and continue to be stupid, following in their case a group or a political party ideas without analyzing the proposals they make.
The saddest thing is that stupid people don't keep their mouths shut and constantly confirm their stupidity, talking about matters they know nothing about. They do not try to investigate and know what is relatively true.
It is an example of a correct way of thinking, in order to act, what EmilyD tells us about her relative: “My sister, who lives on the beach in Vero Beach, planted a sturdy pole (as sturdy as a telephone pole) on her beach 20 years ago when they told her she would lose her house to g****l w*****g. She marked it in feet. In her 20 years living there, she can't gauge that the water has risen significantly in any small measurement to threaten their home. When Al Gore said her home was doomed, she laughed....and is still laughing today. The measurements have not changed. We are not doomed - but we will be duped if we buy the climate cooling/warming/change fairy tale”.
I understand and accept that there are people who oppose the government and feel that they do not owe loyalty to it, but I condemn them when they deny loyalty to the country. Because of her age, we cannot say that this woman (AOC) has a past of disloyalty to the country; but without a doubt, we can say that his mentor, Mr. Bernie Sanders, has a past. This gentleman was pro-Soviet, when the USSR was a power that sought the destruction of the USA. This individual now pretends to be "democratic socialist." When did he cease to be Marxist-Leninist?; or is that "c*******m" now has a new name.
The New Green Deal aims to eliminate planes, cars etc. Of course, this includes: Air Force planes, Army tanks, Navy ships, missiles, atomic weapons and everything that preserves the integrity of this country, which must also be eliminated; and with that, we will be at the mercy of China, Russia, Iran, North Korea or any other country. The USA will be a country open to conquest. If this proposal were made in a totalitarian country, it would be considered high treason and the proponents would be sentenced to the maximum penalty.
Will the New Green Deal be accepted by countries that heavily pollute the atmosphere like China and India?
Will the US continue to be the Great Satan for Islamic countries, as Iran says? Perhaps the AOC pythoness will consult the god Apollo (or the one who directs her) and can answer these questions. Of course, we want it to be before January 2021, because we hope that contrary to the Greek Pythoness she is not going to be all her life in office.

Emily, Did you ask if anyone knew what she's talking about She DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT, HOW COULD ANYONE ELSE? Ask Al Gore, who predicted, about 10 years ago that the world wouldn't exist in, what was it, 5 years because of f "G****l W*****g"? See how that turned out? There used to be a saying, "Fool me once, shame on you,
Fool me twice, shame on me!"

It sure didn't make much sense to me when I read what she said...and then she tacked on that Miami wouldn't exist in a few years B.S. And she never backs up what she says with facts - she just spews these stupid things out, hoping that people will buy it. Really - The world will end in 12 years...there are concentration camps on the southern border...Miami (but not Manhattan or Boston or LA or San Francisco) will not exist in a few years because of rising sea levels...get rid of cars, planes, trains, cows. She belongs in a Nut House, not the House of Representatives!

Look what she did to her own state when she drove Amazon out of New York! She lost 25,000 jobs (good paying jobs!) and a $27 Billion tax revenue because she didn't think NY should spend $3 Billion as an incentive for them to move their headquarters there. This from someone who majored in Economics!

She actually said this today!:

Wednesday at the NAACP town hall, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Miami has only a few years left on this planet.

Does anyone know what she's talking about? Manhattan and Boston also have the same sea levels. Is it only Miami?

Dems, especially the far left ones, love to apply words like "realistic," "affordable," "comprehensive," anything that makes their unpalatable agendas look somehow sane.

Those are the words of a twit. Kind of like Omar wears a hijab only it's really just a diaper for s**theads. She's probably parroting Gore's tired old the icecaps will melt and the seas will rise. He predicted it about 14 years ago and it never happened.

My response was a shrug at the thread. C*****e c****e is real.

Here are sites about Miami and it's water problems. But first a few words. Globally, sea levels are rising as average temperature is rising. This is primarily due to thermal expansion of ocean water and melting land ice. As a low-lying coastal city, Miami is vulnerable to the effects of sea level rise.

City of Miami uses the Southeast Florida Climate Compact Unified Sea Level Rise Projections2 to inform our adaptation plans. According to these standards:

by 2030, sea level is projected to rise 6 to 10 inches above 1992 mean sea level
by 2060, sea level is projected to rise 14 to 34 inches above 1992 mean sea level

Precisely.

Everything they espouse is concealed within a stealth agenda.

"A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers. The research challenges the conclusions of other studies, including the Intergovernmental Panel on C*****e C****e’s (IPCC) 2013 report, which says that Antarctica is overall losing land ice.....Antarctica is not currently contributing to sea level rise, but is taking 0.23 millimeters per year away"
