True love is like a flower, if you tend it, feed and water it - it will flourish. There may come times you feel it has died, but it's more like a winter rest. Be patient, watch and wait, and when you see it renew it's tender spring green - be ready to recognize new life has returned. As each new season comes, the beauty, and tenderness grows deeper. Appreciate it, cherish it, it is rare!

Before my wife and got married used to frequent a bar/grill that had The Rose by Conway Twitty and just under it was The Rose by Bette Midler. I used to play both over and over.

Imagine my surprise when the bride contacted a nephew to sing it at our wedding.
I keep a great Bookmark file so I can go in and listen to all my favorites.
Again happily surprised to see this link on The Rose.
