Oh yeah, no question that it's real. I stopped writing to my brother (he's in AZ and I'm in Ohio) for two reasons; politics I think he buys the koolaid in bulk and he was nasty with my wife. Okay, a year goes by and I hear he had prostate surgery so I wrote him. I heard he was using a catheter and I know they can be uncomfortable to say the least so I was telling him about condom catheters, you don't insert anything. First thing, "Trump is gonna get us into a nuclear war." So I sent back a one-line letter, "Okay snowflake."

That's interesting -- of my living U.S. relatives in the 60+ age range, the Arizona (gated community, Pima County) branch checks off every box on the "progressive" elitist checklist.
On the other hand, the So-Cal branch, an aunt who's been a Democrat politician herself, has been a conservative since early in the Obama Administration -- and is a Trump supporter to boot.

She told me me her first impression of Obama was, I can't put my finger on it, but something's not right with him.
She only watched the last debate and called me.
She told me he's the one.
I informed her she better stick with her first intuition.
The first time I saw him running for the Chicago house, I was instantly shown what he was.
