I really didn't immediately see the gist of the outrage about this headline by the NYT but I see now that it is a reflection of the lefts ways of projecting on to things, ill intent. Like their belief that guns k**l people, as if guns sprout legs and go looking for trouble, they see the 9/11 attack as airplanes k*****g people, not Islamic terrorists k*****g people. And it seems to be even worse in that they play down the attack, like Ilhan Omar's comments that "some people did something."

This is a kind of looking glass into the minds of the l*****ts, I think, and great reason why we need to keep them out of power.
