The station was a monitoring station....it may have detected something that it was not supposed to? The video suggested it was taken. Indeed, beyond my understanding.

If it had a military purpose, somebody leaked it or sold the info for cash. Maybe it detected subs. So whoever has subs and maybe nukes wanted to steal it and verify what all it could do and steal the know-how to make their own. Saw this last week and have been kicking it around in my noggin.
