AOC AND THE BLIND GENERATION

This article was written by a 26 yr old college student by the name of Alyssa Ahlgren, who's in grad school for her MBA.

My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!

I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of p**********l candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.

I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.

Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.

We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!

Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??

Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest e*****rates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."

Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.

When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.

My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.

Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.

People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.

Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and c*******m.

We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague."

Every time I walk into a supermarket the fact of our enormous prosperity comes to mind. Maybe because I saw and remembered those pictures from the Soviet Union, with their breadlines and empty grocery shelves. Or the view itself is that powerful. Traveling the nation without checkpoints. Stating an opinion unfavorable to the present regime and no consequences. (Well, almost none except here.) Socialism programs, Social Security and Medicare (that are not entitlements), to help me and other seniors to survive. (It is said that we survived the financial collapse in 2008 in part due to Social Security pumping money into the economy.) So much, no too much of our wealth going unseen. I liked the piece very much.

===================
Thank you young lady Alyssa Ahlgren. Thanks 4430 for posting. Wish you graduate your MBA soon. You have chosen a great graduate degree course. You have brilliant imagination. Indeed, we take for granted all the luxuries we have around us. Compared to other countries we are 100 times better than they are. Now in Europe, Canada, and other Western counties US is at the top. Compared to the whole world, US is the envy of all nations. The millennials are all brainwashed by their progressive professors, now lured and brainwashed by the stupid OAC. She is a dangerous woman. Her mother moved from NYC to Florida to escape high taxes in NYC. While AOC demands 70% taxes to fund her $93 trillion project on C*****e C****e. These people are hypocrites.

Millions of people all over the world risk their lives coming illegally to the US. China is supposed to be 2nd to the US economy, but the GDP per Capita of Chinese is equivalent to $10714, but the US per capita is $64,417 . US are six times better off than the 2nd runner up of the highest economy in the world, China.

Why do we complain? If others live on streets along democrat districts, actually those are choices of their lives, and victims of drug addiction plus the abandonment of the democrat leaders who run their district or cities.

US residents are so spoiled that they complain on everything. If they only see the lives of other people in other countries, there are no poor people in America to world standards.

President Trump made it even better. Lowest unemployment of 3.7, B****s and Hispanics the lowest unemployment since history. Women the lowest since history. Wages increased in 2018-19 between 3 % to 5%. WE drive cars, other countries walk in the blistering heat of the son in bare feet, hungry. While Christians in Africa, chased by Muslims to be raped and k**led. The Free Market Economy of the president Trump is working great. But the Socialist -Democrats want to impeach the president so they could turn this country to socialist-c*******t. No God perhaps only Islam as demanded by Omar, and Tlaib.

It appears that United States is the only country in the world helping and rescuing lives at the Bahamas during hurricane Dorian .Because America is blessed by God. US always helps the most critical problems of the world be it diseases, wars, and famines. America is the hope of the world. UN must know that.
WE must thank God for all of what we have. Instead of complaining and hurting Republicans as ordered by Maxine Waters B*M, MSGANG13, and A****A, Sanctuary Cities, are all terrorists under the protection of the Socialist-Democrats.

I was in Roatan.
We decided to leave the beach and walk the non tourist part.
We passed a house with no windows and no doors. An old woman was outside washing clothes in a tub.
We got back toward the tourist part. I saw an open air shop.
We went in and the stench was awful.
I said let's get out of here.i turned left and the further I walked the worse the stench got.
I finally saw a two wide openings.
I was at the smell.
A big dog ran through.
It looked like a slimy cement counter.
A squid was laying on it.
There were chunks of unwrapped meat on hooks.
Not much meat at all, but the smell was horrendous.
Back on the beach here comes a groups of nuns asking for donations.
They had on white habits.
They were the w****st clean clothes I have ever seen.
