Mechanical Failures of Socialism

I saw this on Wilkow and had to pass it along. BTW, if you don't have Dish Network and/or get The Blaze on the internet, you need to. Dish channel 212. Check it out.

“Socialism is the purposeful management of shortages”

Socialists derive their power and status by needful things being in short supply. Because when supply is short, the population will turn to the government to meet their needs. Abundance is the opposite of shortage. And when there’s abundance, the population doesn’t need government to meet their needs. And where do we get abundance from? That’s right, the Capitalist Free Market system. Socialists need a dependent population as the source of their power.

Notice that most of our policy makers have little to no experience or practice in any areas they’ve been elected to hold charge over? If, they did have such experience, then they’d be out there creating and innovating products for the marketplace, wouldn’t they? In essence, they would be competing in the marketplace for the best supply. Hence, the nation would experience abundance. They would convince others voluntarily to rely on them to produce, rather than involuntarily through shortage.

But, when that same group of people, high on academic pedigree and low on capacity (sound like anyone we know?), believe that they are entitled to power and status, they find themselves wanting more. And the only avenue to get it is…government. If one cannot enrich themselves by producing abundance, they’ll produce shortage. Because shortage breeds dependence. And how do we produce shortage, you may ask? Through bureaucratic governmental policies. This is what the “Green Initiative” is all about. When product is in short supply the price goes up.

We need look no further than the “war on f****l f**ls” waged by this administration. His use of the EPA to over-regulate oil, coal and nat gas has created (and continues to create) a shortage in energy. Examples are: Stonewalling on Keystone Pipeline, moratorium on off shore drilling, blocking drilling in the ANWR province in Alaska, blocking fracking, coal plants are shutting down all over the US due to EPA government imposed retrofitting regulations. (yes, I know that nat gas has had an effect on coal as well) Wait a minute, where have we heard that before?

“Under my plan of a Cap & Trade system…electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket” – Barack Obama circa 2008. And, he goes on to explain (to cap greenhouse gases) the retrofitting costs of millions that will either close the plants down and lay off workers, or do the retrofits and pass the cost on to consumers…skyrocketing our electricity bills. Fortunately, C&T never got passed into legislation…Unfortunately, that didn’t stop him from using the EPA to carry out his agenda.

Now, how can Obama claim to be the “Champion of the Middle Class” and impose such policies that would cause our energy rates to go up or cause workers to be laid off at the same time? Hmmmmm.? Seems to me that the very people he claims to champion are the ones that get hurt. Thereby, potentially finding themselves looking to government assistance for help. The government is very adept at creating a crisis, blaming it on someone else, and then rushes in with the “solution”.

Simple analogy:
A dog is fed wh**ever he gets and has a place to sleep wherever he’s kept. (sounds sorta good at first), but is kept in a prison, with no freedom, unless his master lets him out or walks him. Operative word here…Master.

Now, before the dog owner coalition gets all twisted up…this is just a general analogy, not an indictment against dog owners or dogs. I have two dogs myself. Let’s focus on the point.

A wolf, on the contrary, relies on himself for food and shelter. He’s free to pursue his freedom wherever it leads him. He has no master.

Summarized: A dog is dependent. A wolf is self-reliant. Which are you? Which do you want to be?

Democrats? They are mostly like cats. Cats are far more subtle than canines...masters of surprise. They also know how to build coalitions (clowders) that do not run on top-dog, under-dog principles.

My cat is quite good at finding its own meals when it has to. The dog? Not so much.......
the cat, unlike the Koch brothers, would never piss in the water bowl of others.

Cats don't k**l dogs but they sure know how to dodge them. They, like Democrats, have become more popular than their nearest rival.

" Notice that most of our policy makers have little to no experience or practice in any areas they’ve been elected to hold charge over? "

The Wall St Journal has an article about how Obama has gotten rid of foreign policy professionals. The foreign policy team is run by public relations hacks. Which is why foreign policy is a series of screw ups.

Let's talk reality here. The world is a hierarchy, but not always. Some things are static not fluid.

The Caucasian as a race is now on a decline. W****s have an average of only 1.2 children per family, which is not enough to replace the population. Add to that the fact that 4 out of 20 white men over 20 in the states and the EU do not or cannot work and you have a recipe for the slow and steady decline in the Caucasians around the world. I bring this up only to state that if you really believe in the hierarchy of wolves, with w****s at the helm, those days are almost over.

That is why the world is working on a new system, and end to the petrodollar, and the rise of another empire.

The argument is not between political parties. The argument is between those who are now jockeying for position. The overhaul you have issue with is inevitable.

Leave it to a L*****t to bring race into it.

I never mentioned any hierachry, you did. If you can't grasp a simple concept of being dependent v.s. independent, or understand the differences between a central planning system built on dependency v.s. a free market system built on independence, freedom and merit, then I don't think we have much to discuss here. And, no, it's not about political parties, it's about principles.

You may be resolved to just take what ever comes. Hell, you may be for it. I choose to fight for what I believe to be sound, virtuous and natural principles. So, you can take your "inevitablility" and shove it.

I'm not a l*****t, I'm an Independent. I happen to agree with the free market. The NAFTA agreement was the worse thing that ever happened to this country. The a Republicans helped write it, and Clinton the Democrat signed it. Neither party is innocent on that one.

I am Independent because corruption makes my stomach turn.

The fact that w****s have too low a birth rate to maintain themselves is a fact, not an opinion. I am myself a white female. I only stated those points because too many people live in a utopian ideal.

Fact is, the government will not change free trade because the bankers have too much control. Any bill that has been brought before Congress to repeal parts if it, or to bring back parts of glass-steagal, has gone nowhere.

It's not resignation on my part. It's reality.

Interesting article. I am no fan of socialism, but never really thought about is as being *dependent* on artificial shortages. I assumed th shortages of everything in the USSR occured due to beaurocratic ineptitude or the diversion of most of the country's wealth to th military.
Capitolism does not neccesarily result in abundance for all, however. look at th Gilded Age (late 1800's) the Republicans so admire.Sure , the Vanderbilts and Rockefellers and Astors made incredible fortunes (Ususally with help from corrupt politicians) But the guys in the iron foundries and steel mills and train yards and whatnot were littel better than s***es. it got so bad in the coal states that there were actual gun battles between miners and the companies' hired k**lers. There were many times when National Guard and State police troops opened fire on strikers. America was bascily a Third World oligarchy then and is heading back that way since the Labor movement is bascily dead.
