Tommy, from the very first quote to the last, the site you provided corrupts what is actually said in the Bible. I will give the first and you will see.

"In this passage, it actually says “life for life.” In other words, the punishment was capital for anyone who caused a woman’s preborn baby to die- life for life."
Too funny. Here is the passage: "A pregnant woman who is injured and aborts the fetus warrants financial compensation only (to her husband), suggesting that the fetus is property, not a person (Exodus 21:22-25)." where on earth did this lunatic get his view? If it were actually life for life, accident or on purpose the perpetrator dies.

But with all those other verses from the Bible, isn't God's opinion on the fetus plain?

Again what the Bible says about the fetus:
• The gruesome priestly purity test to which a wife accused of adultery must submit will cause her to abort the fetus if she is guilty, indicating that the fetus does not possess a right to life (Numbers 5:11-31).

• God enumerated his punishments for disobedience, including "cursed shall be the fruit of your womb" and "you will eat the fruit of your womb," directly contradicting sanctity-of-life claims (Deuteronomy 28:18,53).

• Elisha's prophecy for soon-to-be King Hazael said he would attack the Israelites, burn their cities, crush the heads of their babies and rip open their pregnant women (2 Kings 8:12).

• King Menahem of Israel destroyed Tiphsah (also called Tappuah) and the surrounding towns, k*****g all residents and ripping open pregnant women with the sword (2 Kings 15:16).

• Isaiah prophesied doom for Babylon, including the murder of unborn children: "They will have no pity on the fruit of the womb" (Isaiah 13:18).

• For worshiping idols, God declared that not one of his people would live, not a man, woman or child (not even babies in arms), again confuting assertions about the sanctity of life (Jeremiah 44:7-8).

• God will punish the Israelites by destroying their unborn children, who will die at birth, or perish in the womb, or never even be conceived (Hosea 9:10-16).

• For rebelling against God, Samaria's people will be k**led, their babies will be dashed to death against the ground, and their pregnant women will be ripped open with a sword (Hosea 13:16).

• Jesus did not express any special concern for unborn children during the anticipated end times: "Woe to pregnant women and those who are nursing" (Matthew 24:19).

Or is a******n now like s***ery and genocide: Christians know better than God? Oh and the troublesome other things, those utterly adorable and silly other 613 laws that no longer count.

Why give us laws if we have to be better in character than God to obey them? Why worship him? Questions you really need to ask to actually worship God. Must don't question too much, appears as doubt and they want to be seen as good Christians. "Even in your thoughts": it does not work!

Tommy, from the very first quote to the last, the ... (show quote)

What bible are you quoting from? Exodus 22 and 23 "22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life," Meaning "her fruit departs her" means an early birth, not miscarry. For the next statement makes it clear "yet no mischief follows." And 23 goes into if "mischief" follows, ie., miscarriage (not the same as a******n) then it is eye for eye.....but, a eye for eye is NOT required.

Also I must call BS on the next.."The gruesome priestly purity test to which a wife accused of adultery must submit will cause her to abort the fetus if she is guilty, indicating that the fetus does not possess a right to life (Numbers 5:11-31)." Incorrect. It is called sotah. If a husband believes his wife to be unfaithful, and there are no witnesses, the husband can take his wife to the priest. The priest takes dust from the tabernacle floor, mixes it with water. The woman is asked to swear, using the name of G*D that she is innocent. She then drinks the water. This has nothing to do with pregnancy, and what is gruesome about drinking water with some dust in it?

That is just two examples.....do you wish to go back and consult a real bible, or do you need for me to go line by line for you?.

Perhaps you missed what I said. In the Law as I understand it, accidental or purposeful, it is a life for a life. Yet let's not even go there. A person caused that woman to abort: what are our laws. No matter. But death of a fetus gets a monetary compensation. It takes an extraordinarily crossed-eyed look at the OT to conclude that is not a statement on the state of the fetus.

Your other so-called expose. What if she is actually pregnant? You present that she is innocent, which is not in context.

All that said, God's view of the fetus and ours is a universe in distance apart. God is the arbiter of life, we are not.

The bible is clear, if the woman delivers early (baby born premature) and neither the woman or child dies, then there is compensation. But, if either child or woman dies then it is an eye for eye.

Do you honestly believe dusty water can cause a miscarriage?

Its an unborn child and you insist on marginalizing it in an effort to take a swipe at those who aren’t democrats. You mock God’s word for politics. And whats worse is you don’t even care.
