That is a little to severe for me. I had an epileptic seizure when I was sixteen years old and was reclassified to 4-F. So by your reasoning I couldn't ever own a firearm because of a medical condition that was not of my making. In fact I wanted to serve but they refused me.

Universal military training is a great idea and I believe toyed with by Harry Truman. The idea didn't go very far. If these little thugs running the streets were placed in Universal military training, some of them would come out as humans.

I would hope going on the black market would work, but I doubt it. Black markets are like a floating crap game, you never know where they are from one moment to the next. I do agree that kids' records should be open. We don't need gun control, kid control. Look at their mental state, is there a father at home? Things like that.

What about people who are mentally just fine but have a physical disability? They may need a gun far worse than someone who is healthy. I became disabled in my late fifties and it definitely limits my options. I have an uncle who lost a hand in a farming accident and went on to become a Superior Court Judge. He was naturally deemed unfit for service. I have another uncle whose eyesight was too bad to serve. He tried to enlist in some capacity. I was in Basic with one guy, an enlistee like me, who was medically discharged about the 3rd week.
