[quote=maximus]Trump can't do ANYTHING that is illegal for his office.

So you are saying the president is above the law, and he can do anything with no consequences? Hope you feel the same way when a Democrat gets elected. Of course, if he can do ANYTHING, he can just cancel the next e******n and make himself president for life.

Dems can and likely will exercise the same illegal powers Trump is using, and once congress declines calling an abuse out that abuse can be used without being able to stop it.

I see dems making a list of GOP abuses and closing the door on them for future presidents... personally Trump needs to be impeached even if the senate won't follow suit because then dems can act on what was called out as unconstitutional. Contrary to the beliefs of the right, because the DOJ declines to indict did not mean there was no reason to indict.

Trump made a promise to build the wall and he is doing so in spite of a congress full of h**e against him. Only a total i***t would say we don't need a wall after 100,000 border jumpers came across in 1...that is ONE...month.

Isn't it interesting that you are now quoting Fox news...yes...the h**ed conservative Fox news...the previous joke for news...according to liberals anyway.

Trump is illegally refusing to hand over documents or let people close to his administration talk, congress has the legal constitutional right to get wh**ever documents they want, classified or otherwise, and talk to whoever they want including if there actually is an executive privilege, which there is not in the first place. Executive privilege is nullified in cases where illegal conduct is at the heart of an impeachment inquiry.

And FOX is used because even a hard pro trump media source gets the law, they understand when Trump is breaking it.

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano has a warning for Republican lawmakers who are sticking with President Donald Trump, even after he raided military funds to build his border wall.

They might be cheering for him now, but they could end up “weeping” later, he said.

The Constitution gives spending powers to Congress, not the president, part of the “separation of powers that Madison crafted as a bulwark against tyranny,” Napolitano said. In this case, Congress “expressly declined to give him that money,” and Trump signed the bill that denied him the cash for his wall.

Then, Trump took the money anyway, using emergency powers that Napolitano noted may have been passed into law by previous Congresses, yet are not in the Constitution.

In a video on Fox News, Napolitano said Trump has also essentially created his own sales tax ― again, a power that is supposed to belong to Congress ― in the form of his tariffs on Chinese goods, likewise done in the name of a supposed emergency. He summed it up in his column:

After years of faithless Congresses legally but unconstitutionally ceding power to the presidency, we have arrived where we are today ― a president who spends unappropriated funds, raises taxes, defies courts and changes i*********n l*ws on his own.

Napolitano warned that the same Republicans who are cheering as Trump uses these unconstitutional powers “will weep over it when a Democrat is in the White House.”

In his video presentation, Napolitano called it “dangerous to our liberty” to let the president take the powers that belong to Congress.

“When Congress lets presidents write their own laws, then he’s not a president,” Napolitano said. “He’s a prince.”

It's true that Congress controls money but the Supreme Court ruled that protecting the border is an Executive Branch function so military money may be used. The liberal courts writing laws is more troublesome. No President before this one ever had his Executive Orders questioned by courts like this President. The three branches and the rules of checks and balances have never been so abused.

Semper Fi, you lie like the president. SCOTUS never made such a ruling because it violates the Constitution. Only Congress can appropriate funds for the WAll. Please answer somewhere in the range of reality.

We will need a proper impeachment procedure to know.

If you don't know, then you are making a baseless accusation.

You're guilty!

Of what?

I don't know, but we'll find out!

Can you not see how crazy that is?

IMHO: That's the way the Progressives see it - - I think you're guilty, prove your not. Liberal lawyers need the business, and they are the ones that make the big money. This is the way they are programming the children toward tyrannical Socialism. Basically, you're guilty because I say you are guilty, and if one of them lies, the others will swear to it and go buy a liberal judge to convict you. No matter what you may have done, or not done but are accused of doing it by a liberal, there is a law on the books that can be "interpreted" to convict you if your not a liberal, or get you off if you are a liberal, if you are in front of a liberal judge.

Normal people see it as; I think you're guilty, but you're innocent under the law unless I can prove you're guilty in court. The problem is finding yourself a judge that isn't a liberal and isn't for sale. Money talks and bulls**t walks, and a good many of us can only afford to crawl, so we end up in jail.

We have far, far too many lawyers, and the vast majority of our law schools have been infested by C*******ts. Actually, the whole public education system from the top down has been taken over by these C*******ts. The legal system we now have sucks when it comes to anything but liberals.

USA, we have a problem! Wake up!
