The stupidity that lumps people as a group when they disagree with someone.
The offensive creative name calling of persons.
The inability to engage in civil discussion or debate.
I said I would ignore certain writers, and I've tried. I really tried.
However, I've decided that when I just cannot find positive content in remarks, I'll just post, "Thumbs Down" after hitting quote reply so it will designate the poster's comment for whom the "Thumbs Down" is intended.

Nah, Biggie
...you won't get zapped by me. Even as diverse as they may appear at times, I keep in mind that you frequently think just as highly of my thoughts/opinions as I do of yours.

Why post anything at all? Don't like someone's comment, ignore it.

Ever thought of keeping a record of names and insults based on political sides? You know, like 7 liberal vs 7 conservative names called and insults made? I think that would be most interesting!

It is sort of like the 2 cents you leave on a servers table for poor or terrible service. You let the server know that you normally tip but their service is so poor that instead of complaining to management you are leaving 2 cents because the service sucked. Leave nothing, the server just thinks you are a jerk who doesn't tip.
A
, you are letting the poster know that you want to engage with them, but only if they remain civil, that you consider their comment presentation poor, inflammatory, or not applicable to the topic, etc.
Ignore them they never know you read their post. Hum, maybe that's the response they are seeking. Sort of like a small child creating mayhem to get attention. Doesn't have to be good attention. Just any attention will do.

I think I'll thumbs up all the posts I think are overly insulting.
I wonder what that would do to the balance of power in the universe.
