Do you really think that if you stop selling guns and ammo, you will stop crazy people from shooting up the place???..Look at Odessa shooter...He was banned from carrying a gun..So???He still shot and k**led many many people...I have said this many times..If someone hell bent on k*****g you,he will find a way....and NO ban on guns will stop him!!!

I've learned PR that I have to always read the article you reference in order to wade through your hysterical hyperbole. As I understand it Walmart is going to continue to sell guns and ammo for sport--the hunting of animals JUST not for the hunting of human beings. For that, you will have to go elsewhere, that's all...

And you are right--if someone really want's to k**l you they will find a way to k**l you but it will be much harder for them to k**l you, your family, and all the other people that might be near you. None of this is about eliminating people who murder--but simply making it as hard as possible for them to be able to do so. They will still be able to k**l you--just not you and 20 other people at the same time. Do you understand???

It's perfectly OK Proud Republican, because just because open carry may not be allowed it doesn't mean that CONCEALED CARRY WON'T BE INVOLVED! They should have said they were only going to sell large bore shot gun shells. Some revolvers are chambered for small bore shotgun shells. Plenty of rifles are chambered for the same ammo handguns use & for the ammo AR platform rifles use. Sounds like more of a media stunt than anything else.

There was a bad traffic accident near my summer home, the driver did not have a license. Using your logic, no one should be required to have a driving license because some people will just drive without them anyway. Walmart is interested in one thing their bottom line. They made stores more green because it saved them dough and was a good PR move. After slaughters at two of their stores they simply looked at the numbers and made a business decision. They want to mitigate peoples fears of having their families gunned down while shopping, they understand that only 22% of American households own firearms and of those a small minority are gun nuts / firearm hoarders who will take offense at this move. They sell a hundred thousand items at their stores and online, cutting back on the ammo they carry and not selling assault weapons will cost them a little but they have determined in the long run it will make them even more.

Well gee guess people will have to go across town o buy assault weapons and ammo. I don't blame Wal-Mart for what they did. The NRA would rather they had free ammo with every purchase and daily drawings for free AR15s
