Alabama High School Mass Shooting with 10 Victims Largely Ignored by F**e News Media
It is being ignored because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

A high school in Mobile, AL was the sight of the country’s latest mass shooting on Friday night, after 10 teenagers were shot during a football game.

Deangelo Parnell, 17, has been charged with nine counts of attempted murder and taken in by authorities in the aftermath of the gun attack. Mobile Police Chief Lawrence Battiste made a comment against young people “bringing their beefs that they have with each other in their neighborhoods” into public and carelessly “putting people in harm’s way.”

“Our children and their families deserve to enjoy a high school football game or any public event without the thought of gun violence,” Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson said in a statement.

“As a community, we will heal. As a community, we have to get the guns out of the hands of our youth,” he added.

Horrifying footage of the football team scurrying to take cover and dodge bullets was posted onto social media following the shooting:

This is just horrific to watch from Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Football coaches instructing players to take cover, fans hiding under the stands from a suspected shooting. This is a high school football game and should be a place of fun competition for everyone! Not violence! #Mobile

Battiste believes that Parnell’s alleged rampage “may have been a directed threat at one or two individuals and other people just happened to fall prey to their carelessness.”

In the chaos of the scene, one individual suffered a seizure while another individual hurt their hand. It is unclear whether they were shot, or got injured as everyone was running for their lives after gunfire was heard.

“Why are young people bringing this type of violence to public events?” Battiste said at a news conference. “We’re gonna have to be more aggressive on our end as a city as to how we hold these individuals accountable.”

Parnell turned himself in to authorities at 3:30 am, and his bond hearing is scheduled to take place on Monday. Battiste claims that the surveillance footage from the high school makes it “very clear” that Parnell was the individual responsible for the shooting.

Although 10 people were struck during this mass shooting and the incident has deeply shaken the community, there is no wall-to-wall coverage about it from the f**e news. Although news entities have picked up on the story, it is not dominating the headlines and being talked about constantly by the cable news networks.

After this month’s tragedies in El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH, they were reported on for weeks and used to justify a pre-crime crackdown against the supposed terrorist threat of w***e s*********ts. The silence, in comparison to the coverage of those deadly events, is deafening.

The overwhelming difference in coverage from the f**e news is likely because the incident doesn’t fit into their contrived “w***e s*******y” narrative, as the suspected perpetrator of the heinous act is a black man in an African-American community.

UPDATE: DeAngelo Parnell has been booked into Metro jail and charged with 9 counts of Attempted Murder after turning himself this morning. Police say he's responsible for the shooting at Ladd Peebles stadium last night after a high school football game.

To the f**e news, black lives don’t matter in mass shootings because they cannot be exploited to push gun control and the demonization of American patriots.

Perhaps you need to get out of your bubble. There's plenty more sources who reported on this incident.

Perhaps, since I don't subscribe to cable or satellite TV. But I barely heard about this, unlike the other shootings. They probably featured this news story only once on the air and I missed it. I don't watch much TV network news because they never tell you anything, and I seldom read that comic book newspaper they call USA Today or the l*****t NY Times. I have a life and that interferes with reading all the news.

That's fine....it's good to have a life. One can't be expected to keep up with all the information available nowadays.

It's the source you cite that I question: how can someone claim the 'lamestream' media isn't covering a story when it clearly did? It was their job to research before posting, and they did a lousy job of it.

Go back and read the story. They stated, " there is no wall-to-wall coverage about it from the f**e news. Although news entities have picked up on the story, it is not dominating the headlines and being talked about constantly by the cable news networks."

Mea Culpa! I'm the one who made the claim because I did not see it covered in the news. But then, I don't watch the news 24/7. Apologies.

And thank you for the links. This is why I come to OPP. I can always count on someone to have the correct facts.
