To counter the intense hurricanes that show up, we need a law forbidding hurricanes. Instead, only take-your-time-canes will be allowed. To ensure compliance, a new law enforcement agency would be created called the Weather Energy Enforcement Patrol or WEEP, to interdict storms while they're still in International waters.

WEEP officer: woe, woe, hold on there partner, what's your hurry? Take your time, the East Coast will still be there when you make landfall in a couple of days.

We here in Tidewater Va. will probably not get the brunt like the Outer Banks will but with the Chesapeake Bay right here and the direction of the wind will have all of the water of the bay and the Atlantic Ocean coming a shore we're sure to have high water times.

The City of Chesapeake has a toll road on 168 to the Outer Banks and have dropped the toll on the north bound lanes. The cars headed north are amazing in the numbers. I'm glad to see people taking this monster seriously.

I've been living here since 1958 and have seen a lot of hurricanes hit us. The most damaging have been under to 1 cat. Wind, such as the Bahamas experienced is deadly and physically very damaging but water is the real k**ler. Thursday and Friday are going to be interesting. I wish I didn't have to go out of town tomorrow for the day as fishing in front of one of these is usually amazing. One thing for sure, anyone fishing won't have to worry about sharks, they gone. Mike
