Hong Kong and the fight for freedom

Millions in Hong Kong have taken to the streets in an effort to insure they are able to control their own destiny and keep from under the heel of the Chinese dictatorship. Even though the I***t Pumpkinfuhrer is in a losing trade war with china his administration has said nothing supporting these brave people fighting for their freedom. Our foreign policy goal of promoting freedom and self determination have been thrown out the window in exchange for purely business pursuits. In my opinion the west needs to support the people of Hong Kong in every way we can making it clear to China that a crack down in Hong Kong will result in brutal sanctions from the west including the freezing of Chinese assets around the world. Further the British should grant citizenship to anyone born in the city when it was a British holding. This would threaten China with an enormous loss of assets and brainpower if they misbehave.

China is blaming president Trump for this uprising. Sometimes ya don't have to say anything.

No, we'll just tear it apart for his usual childish slurs.

The Chinese people of Hong Kong are fighting for their freedom and are so far at a standoff. President Trump is fighting a trade war with the Chinese government. It might reasonably be considered imprudent to open a second front with the Chinese government when we are trying to negotiate a peaceful resolution to the trade crisis. Perhaps fighting one battle at a time is the better course of action. Taking the knee jerk recommendations of Kevyn, and now the add on comments of PeterS, with there past record of really stupid comments, doesn't seen to be the best course of action. Let's take our time and see where things go.

Since China has the same kind of government you l*****ts want for America, I'm sure that the only sincerity you actually feel is that the protesters are put down hard and when they are, you'll use that as some utterly tenuous platform or other to assign blame to President Trump.

You have a high predictability index.

Were you a Reagan supporter? How about in support for our being involved in the Vietnam civil war? Do you think we should be getting officially involved in the freedom fight? Sorry but though I cheer on the people of Hong Kong, I think we as a country have no more business getting involved than we had for Vietnam. A trade war with China is one thing. A hot war with China would not be in the interest of Americans.

What would be the point Peter ? Kevyn posts hit and run pieces. He posts and then flees the scene of the. He does not bother to stick around and answer those who respond to his posts.

Alright, when does your flight leave for Hong Kong Kevy? Joining the resistance, maybe you can blow the bridge between HK and the mainland. Glad to see you doing some of the lifting for a change.
