Dear Americans

This Labor Day think of this:

• More Americans have jobs than at any time in history.

• Fewer Americans were unemployed in July 2019 (the last month that we have data on) than in July 1989 and July 2009, and as few as July 1999, even though there are almost 40 million more people in the workforce since 1989.
https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS11000000

• There are more than a million more jobs available in America than there are people who are unemployed, meaning that people have the freedom to leave jobs without the fear that they won't be able to find another one.

• Labor participation among working aged adults was almost 77.4 percent in 1997. And then it began a steady decline through the 2000s and the 2010s before it finally bottomed in 2015 at 72.7 percent, according to the Bureau for Labor Statistics, representing 9.7 million people who would have been in the labor force had participation levels remained what they were in 1997. But now, labor participation among working age adults is once again rising, with 2.8 million more 16-64-year-olds in the labor force, and labor participation rising to 73.8 percent.

• Wages are up 3.2 percent year-on-year with the fastest-growing group in the increase in overall labor compensation being those who are the bottom 10 percent earners.

• Inflation remains stable and below 2 percent while wages are rising above that amount meaning that the average worker is experiencing real pay raises, and

• More than half a million manufacturing jobs have been created since President Trump was elected.

And watch all the Lefties on this site piss and moan that it's not true.

Oh they might have to admit it's true. They'll just find some ridiculous way to give Obama the credit.

Obama brought the unemployment rate from 13% to 5% Trump temporarily goosed the strong economy he was handed and it went down a further whopping 1%. The number of jobs is irrelevant as many are crappy gig economy jobs that do not elevate people into the middle class. The manufacturing jobs the Orange Anus boasts of are mostly paying half what they used to and his tariffs have already triggered regional recessions and lay offs in the mid west with GM and other companies closing plants as a result. There is one undeniable parallel with the decline with our middle class falling wages and disappearing benefits, that is the very deliberate attack on organized labor. To restore our middle class we need to eliminate so called right to work laws, expand the types of workers eligible to organize and collect overtime. Make union membership available by a simple majority of employees filling out and filing cards with the NLRB, eliminating “at will employment” giving workers access to due process if fired without good reason. Setting an inflation indexed minimum wage that is a living wage. The savings in subsidies to employers who exploit workers in the form of food stamps and benefits to their underpaid employees would more than pay for the slight increase in unemployment these changes might cause.

The t***h and facts are hard for the right wing nutters to swallow. The sad thing is that conservatives used to rely on science, facts and accurate statistics to make decisions but that is no longer the case. Now it is just wh**ever lie your illustrious Pumpkinfuhrer chooses to spew.

You post stuff and have no idea what it truly means or the machinations behind it. You are definitely one of the useful ones

Unions support/defend deadbeats who commit gross infractions/rule violations on the job. I'm starting to see this first hand, and I joined the union. They'll only be able to give my money to politicians for a year, then I'm out.
People wanting to do an honest days work, and move up could do so faster if the union didn't keep these slugs where they are.

F**e news Kev. That drawing there was f**e too. Man-made stat to support the f**e narratives of Obama's economy.
Fact was Obama had the highest unemployment of 11% to 21% for the b****s. The part timers were counted by BLS as full time. Those PT hired as a result of justifying the illegal BO Care to operate. Most are in food stamps of 46 million. 51% of households don't pay income tax. Doubled national debts of all presidents combined under Obama. All lies prevailed during the 8 years.

Real unemployment is far higher than they report - and that includes under Obama. It was never at 5%. They find new ways to massage the numbers. They don’t count people who’ve been unemployed for more than 6 months and they don’t count those who’ve stopped looking.

There’s a lot more to it but look around and pay attention.

That has been going on forever, even when Obama was stealing.
