It never ceases to amaze me the powers some seek to grant or recieve. Here is an example that violates the founding freedom to life: http://www.wnd.com/2013/04/surprise-look-whos-getting-power-to-k**l-you/

I read this article before knowing it was posted here, and I swore I would stay away from it because the cause of it, the circumstances surrounding the cause of it, and the knowledge of human nature being what it is.

Additionally I am torn between my deep belief in the right to life and my knowledge of dying and death. The two do not swim well together, and it rips me to pieces.

I will fight for any innocent life, any time, any where. The problem arises when there is conflict as to the definition of what is "life".

Most families of victims who cannot communicate in any way, will want that person "alive" no matter what, and I cannot blame them. However, there are times when that person can not, never will be able to function, may be in pain, may or may not be totally "out of it" with no chance of re-entering life as we know it. I've been there, folks, been there, seen most of it, dealt with it, and I speak from a point of view that is both medical and compassionate observer: I could never tell someone else what to do re removing life support. That is my decision when the time comes, and I've signed a do not resuscitate directive. What I have learned is that DNRs are often ignored. What I have learned is that the real problem hasn't been that doctors are willing to k**l patients, but that they will not accede to allowing a dying person to die with dignity - I went through all that with my husband of 43 years.

I will NEVER repeat for myself what I watched happen to my husband. I have decided for myself and have told my doctors that keeping me alive when I am scheduled to die would be the worst, most horrible thing they could dream of doing to me, and that if they attempt it in my case, they WILL PAY if I do in fact survive. I have told them I accept the reality I must die once, but that NO ONE has the moral authority to force me to die twice, three times, or more as was my husband's case. If I become comatose, all I want is fluids and to be kept clean.

I believe a competent, honest doctor will tell the family the t***h. I believe he will not tell them a lie about a dying relative so that they would agree to allowing them to die. I believe it is humane to allow a dying person to die with dignity and without extraordinary means to save them. Maintaining a life beyond a certain point when all signs point to no return to real living is cruelty in the worst form possible, in MY view. Been there, experienced that, will NEVER allow it to happen to me. I know many will take exception to my beliefs about this, but my views are my views.

Would I trust a doctor in the Obamacare world? No! I would not, could not.

I will only say this. Our founding fathers only mentioned everyone's right to Life. They said nothing of death, because in the end, death is inevitable for all of us. But who has the right to say that anyone should stop attempting to keep a person alive? If they are being kept alive through artificial means, such as brain death on an artificial respirator, then sure, pull the plug. However, to make the call when the patient is still alive and able to make such decisions? That flies in the face of everything our forefathers intended. As long as there is life, there is hope. Only after every attempt to keep a person alive has failed does anyone have the right to call the death and stop any further attempt to resuscitate.

We are barely 8 months from having that 15 member bureaucratic group who will decide who gets saved and who doesn't. I know what Zeke Emanuel has said about when a person has reached an age where he is not worth saving. There are more in the White House who agree with Zeke and who knows how many of them will be appointed to that Death Panel.

This is happening to us because establishment types like John Boehner are willing to make those "compromises" to keep the Democrats happy with them. There are plenty of others like him in the House and at least 10 of them in the Senate. RINO is a fine name for those clods but establishment prick is closer to the real t***h.

LOL. Isn't it the t***h?! It's their perfect way of getting rid of enemies - just like Hitler and numerous other dictators have done.
