Christians can't do that, it seems. His way is well beyond their way. "Anyone who is friends with the world is at enmity with God." Politics is the biggest way to be friends with the world and so many Christians and the voice of influential Evangelical leaders throw their support to Trump. (I will not rehash his gross and continuous immoral behavior.)

The crux of all Christianity and the most crucial article of faith and behavior: "Become as a little child." Almost all Christians look to become as adults, what they unfortunately think of as "meat eaters," knowing Scripture, dogma, and tradition. That's nice to be able to witness to people, defend the faith, and educate our fellows. But it is nothing if one does not become "as a little child."

Just my take, Mike. The way of Christ is so radically different than conventional wisdom, so contrary to human values and ideals as to be absurd, even by the most faithful. Yes, Jesus said "Love your enemies" but he meant probably your mother-in-law or obnoxious sibling, not real enemies like Progressives.
